Eh, being without a band doesn't bother me much, even if I played music.

Besides: People have done amazing music solo, so yeah :)

I like the reply I got from that statement! It was simple but it's really cool to see what instruments people do and don't play. I, personally, am a trombone player who plays other brass instruments as well as a little bit of keyboard synth. I love playing classical, jazz, and electronic music with those instruments.

I've played keyboard, upright piano (Got from grandparents), acoustic guitar, not much electric guitar, a handdrum (Hah, the typo I had, oh god), and various other instruments my dad owns (He's kind of a collector), but I'm not very good at ANY of them.

Been thinking about getting a free music making device for my computer. Like FL or something. But I dunno. Just something to make silly sounds and experiment.

I know Mary Had A Little Lamb, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, parts of a Sigur Ros song, I Wish You A Merry Christmas, and various other parts of other songs on keyboard...

Man, I actually learned a fair amount when I bothered trying.

A lot of stuff I know on keyboard is how to play around in certain chord progression. I know some catchy riffs from various Daft Punk songs (because my keyboard has a built in vocoder and what else would you do?) and some jazz standards too. A lot of what I can play comes from what I know on trombone

The funny thing though is if you started talking keyboard chord progression with me and E keys and D keys and all that sort I'd be clueless.

As that comment probably made obvious.

Of course, to be fair to various different artists, I'm not like, going to put the entire The Knife album on my list of favorites because there are probably other songs on these albums I like more than others I have on my list.

When making track lists I think it's best to not put more then 1 track of an artist in a top 10. Perhaps 3 in a top 25, and so on. But having 7 tracks by a certain artist in a small tracklist is a little weird.

Agreed. The most I have is 5. And I'm thinking of changing it anyway.

Based off of how this list is going, I get the feeling it will go to Top 50 soon.

Also make sure to check out Superchunk. Nothing makes me happier than this video. Seeing my favorite artist of all time (John Darnielle) rock out and sing with them like he's their biggest fan gives me a feeling of glee that nothing else does. Their earlier stuff is far superior, but this video's a TV performance gem.

Guitarist with no band :V

I could say vocalist with no band. I was vocalist in one death metal band with two friends but it died because those two were new to guitar (other had played 1 month and the other 2 weeks or so), we didn't know any drummer or bassist. I was also a vocalist for one black metal project but it died when the mastermind wanted me to do keyboards as well, but I just couldn't/wanted to do it. So I left, now they have other vocalist/keyboardist :p
Been thinking about starting some old school death metal project with one friend (the other guitarist from that dead death metal project) but he's doing his military service right now so it's postponed.
