Seether and Nickelback being compared makes the most sense.
As in, they're both generally garbage in the same realm.
But Seether has a few songs I like. Nickelback does not.
Seether has Remedy.
I'll listen to Seether sometimes and enjoy it, but not Nickelback. I am being quite honest about that, so I believe you're off about Seether and Nickelback being comparable.

Just some generic cute song. Although it's not just one, like I said it seems like most of the time I hear a song that isn't in Japanese nowadays and I like it it turns out to be Swedish. >>

I was expecting Soilwork, Katatonia, In Flames, Dark Tranquility, At the Gates, Amon Amarth, Dissection, or Meshuggah.

You forgot that I like terrible music like this (also swedish, this time actually in swedish though).

But I still like some Muse. Like Citizen Erased, for example. Probably their best song. Or one of the best, anyway.
Aaand I don't see it on YouTube anymore. Stupid copyright crap.
Try this if you think Nickelback isn't THAT bad...
As far as being worse, there's this, this, and this on the top of my head.
Edit: F'ing thing didn't want to post for some reason.

On that subject, where should I start with Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares, if you got suggestions?

Meryuma wrote:I love Selected Ambient Works Volume II by Aphex Twin but it's probably not a good place to start. It's 2 and a half hours and very abstract. The Richard D James Album is really good too and more song-oriented. Venetian Snares I only have Songs About My Cats but it's great. Very warped and noisy.
