It is possible to be atmospheric without being ambient. That is why those are two different genres.

Metallum separates the two, I don't. For me ambient = atmospheric. If I REALLY want to see difference between ambient and atmospheric black metals, its' this: Ambient black metal has more ambient than black metal, atmospheric black metal has ambient on the background of the actual metal.

It's sort of like that. As Vareiln said, the difference is slight but it's there.

Also about metallum, sometimes genres aren't correct. For example it lists Ashes of Ares as progressive/power metal, but the songs aren't even close to progressive.

You're right. I'm going to try Ashes of Ares now.

It wasn't on your list.
Sex on Fire is by far the best Kings of Leon song, so it should have been on your list.

Thanks:) I like that line. Pretty true, as well. It's a good way to describe the destruction of forests.

I heard that the songs lyrics were written by the whole band, and they just went back and forth coming up with unique lines that turned into a song.

I did always think the lyrics in the song were kind of scattered, but not in a bad way.

"Jumping up and down the floor,
My head is an animal.
And once there was an animal,
It had a son that mowed the lawn.
The son was an okay guy,
They had a pet dragonfly.
The dragonfly it ran away,
But it came back with a story to say."

I've always thought that part is something very different from anything I've ever heard.

And her singing in that song, and Love Love Love, is probably my favorite by them. Her Icelandic accent sounds really cool.

Oh yes. The accent is great. And their music videos have lead me to believe they have been inspired by some good acid, which makes it even better. Me, Mountain Sound is my favorite after Dirty Paws.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It's very situational.

I find myself inclined to go with Sex on Fire, but in the end, I like Supersoaker the most. Use Somebody is great too, but I don't want to be caught liking an overly mainstream song by mon amis.
