Skyrim is a boring game. I enjoy Battlefield 3, and some Modern Warfare 3.

My problem with Skyrim is I have a multitude of styles I wish to play, but I cannot for the life of me try to incorporate them into one character. Because of the way I play it I stick with one role, because that is what I set the character to be as. So my tank-and-spank character cannot sneak, my assassin cannot put on heavy armor, and my mage cannot use any kind of weapons other then staves.

Playing between three characters is a pain, why must I be so indecisive?

Soon going to buy Skyrim. Yay! Just about completed Oblivion. I've heard people say don't buy used Skyrims as they often crash. Is this correct?

That's kind of the point. If your making a walking brick wall, then it wouldn't be able to sneak.

It's like the people who keep saying they are running something stupid like a 'light side smuggler' on the star wars mmo. If your character is smuggling, he isn't good.

But the way the game is set up I could entirely do all three aspects in one character. Armor doesn't really affect you if you're not wearing it.

Please tell me that you're trolling. You say that you are creating specialized characters and then complain that you don't have a jack-of-all-trades. That's like smoking crack and then complaining that you haven't figured out Einstein's general theory of relativity. :palm:

Tell that to Han Solo.

Take them all off and only load the ones you actually really want. I got all mod crazy, then I started to get annoyed by everything so I'm down to 10 mods. Which are mostly just visual, and modding Breezehome.

Yeah, guess I'll do the same. I'm also going add the quest mod, And the Realms of Daedra, I really wanted to try it out! If I still have problems, I'm just going to shoot my PC with an automatic rifle....or take a walk outside.

Please tell me you're trolling and don't lack that much reading comprehension. I said my problem was I couldn't create a jack of all trades from my own personal aspect, not the games aspect.

Or walk to a computer hardware store and buy some new parts. If you can afford an automatic rifle you can afford better computer hardware!

Actually, I can't afford one. I'm going have to steal one...sigh.

Are you good with computers, or someone else here? Could my computer be the issue here? Here's my hardware:

It's definitely not the hardware side. The most likely cause of it all is just having mods which have negative reactions to each other. Things like having two mods that effect followers, the same aspect of a game (areas, NPCs, etc.) tend to clash with each other and create bugs.

That is why you have to be very conservative with the mods you have and not go overboard. They are more likely to crash against one another then to work together.

Okay thanks. I guess I did go a little nuts on the mods. Thanks for the advice!

Not a problem. The best way to look at a game is a model of a house. Modding it (adding things to it) can work fine with the base structure of it all as long as you don't have things to overlap and affect each other. Such as: Sure you can add a new roof to the house as long as it doesn't affect the overall berth of the base structure, but trying to add a triangle roof on top of the new roof you just added will cause issues. Just one way to look at it without getting entirely into coding aspects of it all.

You can't mod the game to tell it that this NPCs will now talk to someone at a base range of 12 feet instead of 15 feet. Then throw another modification on top of that saying NPCs will speak louder at the old base range of 15 feet. This will cause conflicts in the code and error either one, or more likely, both of them out causing things to look and act defected in the game.

Only got it recently; already have four characters. Janus Octavius is my Imperial, currently in the civil war. Deraka is my Argonian, currently fighting an Ice Wraith in order to join the Stormcloak Rebellion. Lilith is my Breton, having just succeeded in spreading the word of Mara and looking for marriage. Lastly, Kathor the Insidious is my Orc, currently finishing the mass murder of the denizens of Riverwood.

Okay, and? If you want balanced characters, then make one. It's quite easy to do so, although it does take a lot of levels to truly make that character unstoppable, and even then, your character will still have one weak point...
