No, it's attached to the armor.
Which may I say, looks fucking ridiculous on an Argonian like myself. The tail goes straight through the fucking cape.

How slow are you playing?

I 'finished' Morrowind in 40 hours, wracked up a total of 200 hours, finished Oblivion in 30, ended up with 100 hours game time, I have something like 25ish hours in Skyrim and I've done everything interesting.

Got the game the day it came out. Played it for maybe 20 hours in total. Just can't get into it. Sorry...

The combat's really really bad.

Obviously not as bad the earlier games but it's still pretty unacceptable for an RPG in 2012.

I loved Oblivion and poured hours of my life into it, but Skyrim, I just don't know.

I don't play it for some action game, however. I just like being able to go out and do random crap; Some people like the play style, others don't. That is the whole nature of the video gaming business.

I don't really see the appeal there, characters are non existent and the dungeons feel pretty samey. It's pretty I guess, but there doesn't feel like enough reward for exploring. And in the whole RPG mechanic being stripped down...

Skyrim is more like call of duty being overhauled into an RPG than Morrowind being diluted into an 'action RPG'.

That is your opinion, but I genuinely like the direction they went into. I don't mind the way they went because the world feels more open. If you're playing Elder Scrolls for how the "dungeons" are, and how the quests play out, you're in the wrong game series. Morrowind was no different, it was just bogged down with the more traditional RPG elements like you said.

It goes without saying that it's my opinion, but it's a genuine fact the direction they went in was 'hmm time for more players let's make it easier and simpler'.
Novaya Tselinoyarsk wrote: I don't mind the way they went because the world feels more open.

No more or less than previous games.

Well you can't levitate anymore, so, less I guess.
Novaya Tselinoyarsk wrote:If you're playing Elder Scrolls for how the "dungeons" are, and how the quests play out,

What else is there to play for? Wandering around some bland generic forests? Because the RPG mechanics dived off a cliff after Oblivion.
Novaya Tselinoyarsk wrote: you're in the wrong game series.

True that bethesda doesn't care much for its old guard anymore.
Novaya Tselinoyarsk wrote: Morrowind was no different, it was just bogged down with the more traditional RPG elements like you said.

It was atmospheric, vicious and wonderful. It was High Fantasy: The RPG. The lore was rife, the story was interesting and engrossing, the setting was brilliant. It was not a welcoming game - being welcoming does not make a game good.

Yes. Xbox.
I really wish I could get a good desktop computer for myself. That way, I could play the PC versions of Skyrim and Battlefield 3 without most of the crap, and also without shitty lags and bad graphics.

That's literally my only complaint with that armor. Its bad-ass as hell till I go in 3rd person and see my tail. Also Argonains 4 teh win.

Not that slow actually. Its just the fact that there are shitloads of dungeons, plus the main quest, plus Companions, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild and College Quest lines. Plus more then a dozen daedraic quest lines. And then shitloads of other quests not counting misc quests.

Daedric quests are always one of my favourite parts of a TES game and I think Skyrim did them pretty well.

They should make at least one game where it turns out you weren't the great hero - you just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

I finally got my archery skill up past 70. Sneak is 75. Two-Handed is almost 70. Light Armor is 51.

I certainly need more training with Light Armor, but everything else is looking great so far.

Companions Questline = So boring.

Dark Brotherhood = Pretty good; preferred it to Oblivion.

Thieves Guild = Not bad, but I preferred Oblivion.

College = Better than Oblivion in a way, but worse in others.

I found the Skyrim Main Quest to be really boring, in all honesty. Lacked the mysticism and air of epicness/impossibility that I felt made the Morrowind and Oblivion main quests much better.
