I've only heard of them. Haven't heard them.

Well, Radiohead isn't very metal. I'm not sure what you'd call them. They have evolved a lot over the years, which is what I like about them. Now, you have made me post Radiohead.

They alternate between listenable and dreadful.

Please don't tell me you're one of those people who only likes Radiohead before Kid A.

I need to look into Godspeed You! Black Emperor more, and I started checking out some of the newer The Residents.

Those were just the songs that came at the top of my head. What ones would you preferably post?

Anyway, my interests change all the time, but 5 bands I've been listening to the most recently are: Mastodon, The Damned Things, Transit, SafetySuit, Linkin Park. I don't really have favorites.

Beats me. I had to ask my dad for band names ending in "Head" for the last one. He mentioned another, but I forgot it.

Any specific Linkin Park album/song? I personally don't care for Linkin Park, but I will admit that I probably actually like a couple of their songs from their newest album.

I'm honestly not sure my personal "top 5 bands" is accurate, because my mood for favorate changes a lot.

Did you get my telegram?

Yeah, I got your telegram, but I've only listened to one so far (I've been out most of the day).

I like a lot of LP's stuff. I like Hybrid Theory and Meteora, but I especially like when they break the formula on those albums and make instrumentals (Cure for the Itch and Session) or when they lace softer stuff with their usual material (Pushing Me Away, Easier to Run, From the Inside). And then of course there's the entirely different Breaking the Habit. I haven't listened to Minutes to Midnight very much, but I like some of what I heard from it. As for A Thousand Suns, I love what they did there. I'm indifferent to some tracks, but I really enjoy others like The Catalyst; When They Come for Me; Jornada del Muerto; Wisdom, Justice, and Love; and The Requiem.

Maiden is the only sensible thing on your list.

Seriously.

Listen to Rammstein.

I have no idea what the hell Ranetki is rambling on about, though, all that it's catchy and they're hot.

I'm aware of who Rammstein are. #1? Honestly?

Liking these bands is perfectly understandable (except for Linkin Park). I just find it strange that they're in your top 5.

These are pretty much the only "bands" I listen to. If you look through my music library, you'll find random songs from tons of different bands, but theres only a few that I actually have full albums to. Others are Green Day, Beastie Boys, etc.

I'm a full album person.

I don't dabble too much in mainstream stuff anymore. At least, I try not to. Bound to be critical when someone brings up bands such as Linkin Shit (no offense).

Top 5:
1. GY!BE
2. Explosions in the Sky
3. Boards of Canada
4. Beirut
5. Aphex Twin (Maybe)

Flying Lotus gets an honorable mention.
