That, and if you're going to insult Pink Floyd, you'd best educate yourself on music. Dark Side of the Moon is genius. Words cannot describe it. The Wall is brilliant as well.

Also, Nine Inch Nails, dude. Perfect for those darker, industrial sounds.

Nine Inch Nails sets my mood. Pretty Hate Machine is perfect for when I'm in a good mood, Broken both arouses me and gets me all pumped up and motivated to do something, The Downward Spiral is lyrically imperfect and its a combination of the first two. The Fragile draws me into a world of love lost and pain wrought, but redemption and reckoning found once again. With Teeth ends the trilogy of emotion I see beginning with TDS. Year Zero is an interesting play on the future of the United States and the world, one I can't see actually happening, but the later tracks on the album are gems. Ghosts was lovely and moody, and lastly, The Slip brings Nine Inch Nails musical history to a melodic yet exciting end.

And don't even get me started on Pink Floyd....

You need music education. Now.

Really because I'm pretty sure you can dislike Pink Floyd without having 'music' education. They're an acquired taste. Don't get so defensive over bands. Also I'VE GOT A BIKE YOU CAN RIDE IT IF YOU LIKE

Who the fuck is "pink flyod"?
New Sheoth VI wrote:I know people who dont even know who or what SOAD is.

Lucky people. They don't know some terrible nu-metal band that tries to be edgy by using the occasional odd time signature. They're probably one of the most overrated bands around today, they don't deserve half of the respect they get.
New Sheoth VI wrote:Not to mention i said i LISTEN to them, i dont worship them like some God like every seems to do for Pink Flyod.

I've honestly never met someone who worships Pink Floyd, I've met a lot of people who listen to their four most popular albums and rave about them, or people who listen to the first album and worship Barrett and Barrett alone, or people who, for the most part, enjoy the entire discography. The people who seem to worship it fall in the first two groups and are plebs, the last group includes me and is much cooler.
New Sheoth VI wrote:TO be honest, i cant wait till every member of pink flyod dies just to see how many people overreact to some two-bit celebs dying.

That's terrible, especially seeing two former members have died already and you probably didn't know it. Seriously, pretty much every member was revolutionary in their own right. The fact that they're as popular as they are is amazing. Roger Waters used to have to have Nick Mason tune his bass for him. Basically none of them had formal training. However, they basically revolutionized music, and, no doubt, provided a lot of influence to the likes of Shitstem of a Down. They were and still remain one of the most popular progressive rock bands of all time, one of the only groups to break into mainstream success.

tl;dr you're terrible at music

If this is just of bands and excludes solo musicians...

1.) My Chemical Romance
2.) Never Shout Never
3.) Capital Lights
4.) Bright Eyes

Not sure exactly what the fifth band is, but it's probably something like Amber Pacific, All Time Low, or An Cafe. Asian Kung-Fu Generation could probably considered a candidate for number 5.

Kid, I would shoot you down for this but I'm guessing you're one of the millions of "Unique" teens who thinks themselves better because they don't listen to pop. Get a musical education, listen to Echoes and then come and talk to me again. You have no idea what you're talking about and obviously don't have even the slightest grasp of social dynamics, or else you wouldn't have dared say what you did: to wish death on anyone is a heinous act, but on the men who basically carved out an entire new genre themselves? Fuck off.

Who cares if you know people who listen to the music you do? I know nobody who listens to my kind of music in person, and I still know it's better than a lot of the stuff they listen to. That would also mean that Pink Floyd is good, because, as you said yourself, they're overrated, and, since they're overrated, a lot of people listen to them, and, since a lot of people listen to them, they're good.

If by that you mean I'm not disproving the fact that some people worship PF, then you've misread. I'm just saying that no-one deserves to have death wished upon them, but if you do so to the men who shaped rock for two decades then you need to have your brain checked.
