used to love family guy, but the more recent episodes since they got uncancelled havent been very good. plus ive moved away from their humor style anyway.

Futurama is excellent, and a few of adult swims shows, like Harvey Birdman, attorney at law; or Sealab 2021; or metalocalypse are fantastic

megas xlr was great too, as was discovery channel's planet earth miniseries.

there isnt really anything on right now, well other than futurama, which i keep forgetting is back on the air, that i really watch

House MD was one of my favorites. I'll watch Seasons 1 to 4. Anything afterward is just generic soap opera BS that ruined the show for me. I still love Hugh Laurie, though. His blues album is great.

Mike the Progressive wrote:I've been getting into Modern Family as of late, thanks to my roommate. But I like South Park the best, not to happy with this season. I liked the Cleaveland Show until I found out that it murdered -murdered- King of the Hill. I mean what the fuck, at least finish it up, don't just end it midway. Fuck Fox and fuck Seth MacFarlane, too.

I never did like South Park. Seemed too much of "shock value for shock value's sake" to me.

King of the Hill was great! Alongside The Simpsons (before Seth McFarlane's bullshit infected the writers and caused them to make Family Guy in Yellowface) and MTV's Daria (MTV putting it on DVD was probably the best thing they've done since that channel went downhill in my book), it was one of my all time favorite shows. All three of these still are favorites. I wish KOTH would be put on DVD (the later seasons) and it's a shame that Hank Hill's saga got cut short so Seth McFarlane could produce some spin off that's not even well liked by Family Guy fans. Hell, the only Family Guy fan I've ever seen like it was Chris Chan who had a Sonmanic moment when he criticized the voice acting of one of the characters. But, yeah, anything Seth touches instantly turns to shit. American Dad, Family Guy, Cleveland Show, it's all essentially the same show but with minor cosmetic alterations.

I also enjoyed the Critic, Trailer Park Boys, the Oblongs, Mr. Bean, Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson + Hugh Laurie =) and other shows. Since I don't have cable or satellite, I've usually just begun collecting my favorite shows on DVD and watching them, reading books, playing video games, and such. I consider television these days devoid of anything interesting for me so I just stick to what I like and let others enjoy what they like.

The earlier episodes of the Simpsons - hell, generally the 90s seasons - are the best. Anything post Y2K is just like the Wall Street Crash in terms of quality.

King of the Hill was a great show. The humor was more subtle and realistic, which is why it clicked with many people.

Yeah, they sure were awesome.

And really? Hm, I'll see if I can try to find an episode and watch it sometime.

really diggin cowboy bebop just now.
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.
