If you want to see an anime that deals with the hard-core anime fan culture, with every single anime archetype presented or at least that's the intention, then yes. Although the second season sorta causes the anime to unravel.

Smile Precure, I think, is the worst of the metaseries as of yet. All the characters are one-dimensional archetypes and annoying as hell and all the monsters seem to have clown faces with great honking red noses. Why?

Also, shorts.

The transformation and ending dance sequences are good, though.

True, but I think that's a very common problem with bishoujo game-based or harem anime - I recommend watching Love Love or Maken-Ki for truly annoying lead protagonists. I found Amagami's separate arcs for each heroine format quite unexpectedly effective, at least more than those (like the recent Majikoi) that seem to try to "clear all routes at once", and not in a good way.
