Wow, that works really well. Too well. I am convinced that Madoka Magica is another world line for Steins;Gate.

OK, so I've just finished Death Note. It was pretty good, hard to say anything without spoiling it. Probably the most engrossing anime I've watched since Code Geass. Misa Amane was my favourite character. A great deal was made of how stupid she was towards the end of the series, but I actually thought she came across as one of the cleverest characters of all, not least because she was smart enough to act dumb when needed. Now I've gone back to Evangelion, which I must admit got a helluva lot more interesting after Asuka came into it, even though she annoys the hell out of me. I still don't actually like any of the characters except Shinji and I still think that's just because he has Rolo's voice and I still love Rolo (platonically) which combined with the fact that Misa is my favourite Death Note character makes me wonder why I always seem to like yandere characters...

Oh, and Kyo Kara Maoh is pretty good. Nice to have something light hearted to go back to between the darker animes. Fullmetal Alchemist is next on my list followed by Hetalia Axis Powers. And I need to get around to watching Akito the Exiled.

They complain about the style. I'll give them that point since the art style is so different from the manga. I like the rotoscope style, tbqh. It looks realistic and wants to be taken seriously. There's nothing spectacular in the work. Japanese people look Japanese for once.
