Yeah. Did I mention it's an action show, and the chef guy looks like this? And he hunts down fearsome and legendary beasts to make meals out of?

Misa Amane was my favourite character. A great deal was made of how stupid she was towards the end of the series, but I actually thought she came across as one of the cleverest characters of all, not least because she was smart enough to act dumb when needed. Now I've gone back to Evangelion, which I must admit got a helluva lot more interesting after Asuka came into it, even though she annoys the hell out of me. I still don't actually like any of the characters except Shinji and I still think that's just because he has Rolo's voice and I still love Rolo (platonically) which combined with the fact that Misa is my favourite Death Note character makes me wonder why I always seem to like yandere characters...
Oh, and Kyo Kara Maoh is pretty good. Nice to have something light hearted to go back to between the darker animes. Fullmetal Alchemist is next on my list followed by Hetalia Axis Powers. And I need to get around to watching Akito the Exiled.

The reason why you probably liked Death Note as much as Code Geass is because Code Geass is basically Death Note: The Mecha. I enjoyed both very much. For me, the MC is what dragged me in. The INTJ/Mastermind character is just engrossing. I want to know their plans, how they execute them, and if they will succeed. And then these Mastermind archetypes are usually anti-hero too, and they usually play foil to the idealist antagonist.

I don't know why people say that. Yes, Lelouch and Light have some similarities, but the shows aren't that similar.

It wasn't really his fault he was screwed up. He'd spent his whole life being used as a tool to kill- he didn't know anything but killing. All he wanted was for someone to love him.

Oh, cry me a river. The kid was still an imposter, put there to keep Lelouch brainwashed. His pity party backstory didn't garner any sympathy out of me.
