Harry Potter vs. Twilight

Postby Naurobia » Tue Aug 23, 2011 7:05 pm

Which series do you think is better and why? Personally I love them both equally but I do think that the Harry Potter series is more creative and both are equally entertaining but I feel that the Twilight series also has it's strong points in that the fact that no magic and constant spells are in involved makes it more enjoyable at times. What do you guys think though?

Once again, it's not even a contest....Harry Potter, hands down.

The only Twilight I like is Twilight Sparkle.

Twilight all the way. Edward's sexual perfection is undeniable, and he is most definitely a personification of what it means to be sexually perfect. I have often cited Edward Cullen, along with Justin Bieber, as a beautiful, inspirational, and shining example to the Greater Aryan Race.

I don't like either, but I've only read Harry Potter so I can't judge properly.
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

Wait, what? He's not Aryan, he doesn't have blue eyes. Also, I'm disturbed that a creepy stalker is 'perfection'. Also he has gone on public record of loathing Twilight. Which makes sense, as it is a series with literally not redeeming features. It's a self-insert fanfiction written clumsily at best. I just hope they make the next movie so I can see Edward perform a Cesarian with his fangs. It will be comedy gold.

I am speaking of the Greater Aryan Race, which comprises the Core Descendants as well as all other ethnically clean and sexually perfect whites. Edward's perfection is what enables him to effectively hunt.

Yep, my bad: I'd never heard Aryan used to refer specifically to white people. So, learn something new I suppose.

Also: ethnically clean and sexually perfect? I don't think I can comment on this without a massive derail. But, basically: no.

I'd have to say Harry Potter, those books were the first real novels I read as a kid and thus set me on a path for the likes of Hemingway and McCarthy.

true true, then again, bella swan is the most self absorbed, bitchy, emo, manipulative, whoring, cock tease, damsel in distress, mary sue cunt in the history of literature (yes, i am counting Scarlet O'Hara), so what 'Story' their could of been is replaced with the event horizon of her being a fucking tool

It seems to me that Twilight is reserved for female tweens.

HP however is creative and entertaining.

I just wish they would keep the movies close to the text.
