It's weird to think that I broke into metal (and thus black and death metal) with this corny-ass power metal band.

Anyone know good but less well known PM bands?

I second Omen, but also will throw in their album Warning of Danger.

Persuader is a phenomenal power/thrash band that I highly recommend. I also think you would enjoy Helstar's "Nosferatu". Virgin Steele is also really good. Trying to steer clear of EuroPower-styled stuff because you're not too keen on that if I recall.

Cradle To Enslave EP is the second 'underground metal' album I ever bought, first one I had imported (fuck you US release). I'm not hating on CoF or CoF fans (even fans of their newer stuff), so much as assuming (post-Midian) CoF + scene = utter faggotry².
