Oh, damn, that's an opinion I've never heard. Those three albums have some of their greatest masterpieces.

So the new Blind Guardian album Beyond The Red Mirror leaked today.

It is taking all of my willpower to avoid listening to it before my official pre-order arrives in two weeks.

The Bjork album came out 2 months early (Leaked and even officially released by Bjork after the leak on ITune's), and I've been desperately trying to find some way to listen to it first before buying it

Or possibly buying it. I've decided I prefer to hear what I'm getting into before buying something. What if the album is shit? I don't want to own that without knowing what it is like first

I've found that the best way to sleep at night is to stop giving a fuck about other peoples taste in music all the god damn time and just enjoy what I enjoy, share music with each other, and so on. If they like it, they like it. If they don't? Then they don't. The end. I go to sleep and wake up to another day of new music discovery or whatever I feel like doing that day (Or not sleeping well for different reasons).

But do carry on with all of your music superiority complexes . It's a good dose of face palm worthy material every day.

That's normally my mindset too (this is the first time I've ever pre-ordered an album). But I'm a huge Blind Guardian fanboy. I love all nine of their prior albums. The chance of not liking the new one is... remote. Especially since I already heard the lead single and liked it.

With some bands, you know you're always going to get quality no matter what. There are few such bands, but BG has proven to be one of them.

I have to agree, honestly. Even if you don't like it AS much, it's not like you're not gonna be super disappointed, or not likely to be. Hell, I've given pretty much every single Bjork album an 8 or higher except her last one. It's not particularly likely I'm not going to appreciate what she does in some way or not, so buying her album for like, $8 isn't likely to be a disappointment for me. Even if I like stuff less than others by her, she's proven herself over 20+ years to NEVER be disappointing to me personally, even in the album I didn't like AS much. IT was still an interesting album. Of course to others her last like 3 albums haven't apparently been up to par, but whatever, I disagree for the most part. They're certainly different (All of hers are), but still.

Now on the other hand, if there's a band that changes all the time, or say, has been hit or miss, than I certainly want to hear the album first...There's plenty of bands like that.

But like my dad and Secret Chiefs 3, or me with Secret Chiefs 3 and say, Sigur Ros honestly, he preorders an album by them every time they come out with one. He might be disappointed but he's supporting the band he knows will come out later with something he likes more, and is never exactly fully disappointed by them. Some bands just fit into that category.
