I think they have loads of individually memorable songs. AC/DC though? Carry on with the bashing!

Ah, that seems like it might become an issue.

Part of Vidar Vaaer's motivation for ending Ildjarn was due to his 4-track recorder breaking (the same 4-track recorder used during Emperor's early days as Thou Shalt Suffer).

Everything must sound the same! Without my tape deck there cannot be anymore Ildjarn!

Say what you want, but at least he's consistent.

If you actually listened to AC/DC you'd be able to hear plenty of variety. It's about as ignorant as saying all slayer albums are worse versions of RiB

Slayer might only have 2 songs, but they're both damn good songs.

Honestly, while poking fun at it, I can imagine myself doing similar when I was big into making music. Had my laptop or Pocket POD broken I wouldn't have wanted to continue that project any further.
I just hope he doesn't give up on music entirely.

I really got into metal last summer, and since then it's been the only thing I've listened to. The metal bands I listen to are:
Pantera, Metallica, System of a Down, Bloodbath, Burzum, FFDP, The Faceless, Amon Amarth and I guess some of Soundgarden's stuff could be considered metal.

I've got Ildjarn, Nidhogg, Forest Poetry, Strength and Anger and Those Once Mighty Fallen to listen to. Nidhogg and Those Once Mighty Fallen both have good production, the others are a bit more raw and lo-fi.
