Yeah, hasn't this same exact thing happened before?

Correcting Oterro about Bathory's genre was major deja vu

Oh man, I forgot about that record. I rescind my previous statement.

Everyone always forgets about that record. It's forgettable. Compared to most of their other stuff at least.

I can look back and honestly say that the time I first heard Hammerheart changed my perspective of music.

Trying to revive some conversation.

Most anticipated metal release this year? Anyone?

Album currently blowing me away: Edge of Sanity - "Purgatory Afterglow"

Unity; a gathering of open wounds,
of dark... of dark clean spirits...
what a dream... what a dream so distant!
Why should I... why should I be alone
when I love... when I love my brotherhood?
Shall I die... shall I die to be free
when I cry... when I cry in silence...
so please let me die in silence...
oh my god, let me die in silence!

The next Baroness album, which is rumoured to be a double prog'y type thing, and Kvelertak's next album.

I love both artists and I'm eager to see where they go next. Also if Mastodon do anything (doubt it kind ahope not) and Boris (no doubt).

I don't see how that's even comparable. One's going to deafen you and make you bleed. The other one is going to deafen you, make you bleed, and has Lou Reed.

its a total metal stereotype that all metalheads hate metallica

fortunately its also a true metal stereotype if you like anything but old metallica then youre not hardcore enough to be a real metalhead

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what exactly what you're trying to say. But I love Metallica. I just think that the Lulu album sucked really bad. Not really worthy of being called a Metallica album, or a Lou Reed album for that matter.

*must post*

I, personally, love Metallica, and think every Metallica album (except Lulu) has at least one good song. Even on their "sellout" albums, I still find music to like.
