Presumably you're more into the heavy Russian fuckers?

Whilst I don't agree with the ethos, I admire the spirit.
You a T-50/T-50-2 player?
Seems like the sort of thing which would be up your alley from those comments.
I got my first ram-kill today against a T-50 in my T-25.

Just got an A-20 before I was going down the panzer line about 20k experience from Tiger I.

Their tanks turn to engage you just in time for you to slip away and your mediums to shoot them from behind. The light tanks that survive rush the base, kill the arty and hopefully capture the base, giving each light tank a couple of kills.
Also, since I need to say it. If you die you were obviously not brave enough. If you are brave enough you will start to repel and randomly bounce shots. How else can light tanks infiltrate past a horde of medium and heavy tanks and not die?

A pack of three T-50s played havoc amongst our lines in a game I just played. Fucking lethal.

It's a damned shame that the lights on my team never seem to be living up to your standard, then.
By and large, I suspect that lights live not by beginning to deflect shots due to their bravery, but the enemy being confused and not as careful as they ought to be. Plus, it can be damned hard to keep your sights on an enemy light when your turret is so damned slow that you've got to turn your tank as well as your turret...

More often than not, my major criticism of lights is that they are too willing to charge off too blindly and incautiously. They bomb it off towards the enemy lines, spot a handful of vehicles before getting blown up.
In an ideal world, they'd either sit somewhere, all camo'd up, and actually do some spotting or intelligently charge forward. Usually, it's a one way trip to heaven for them, before the artillery's had a chance to load or even move into a decent firing position. Which isn't brilliant for the rest of us, even though it might bag them some experience.

EDIT: Ok, I've taken a long, hard look at the tech trees, and I'm thinking about upgrading to PzKpfw 35(t), then the 38(t), and then the Pz.38NA. From there on out, should I go for the Hetzer, or the Panzer IV? I think I'll do Panzer IV, because it leaves my options open.
Neo Arcad wrote:I do NOT plan to spend my money on artillery, nor do I want to invest in light tanks with weak guns; when I shoot someone, I'd like to kill them the first time, you know? One shot, one kill- the sniper's credo. I'll likely play ambush predator a lot as well, yet another role that requires a heavy main gun.
How fast do you get cash, though?

As for the Porsche Tiger, there's a reason I have it on my wishlist. Frontal armor is epix. It even bounces IS-7 and E-100 shots.
How do I know this?

I do like the visible tracers the most, particularly in my Grille. The eye-in-the-sky artillery view let's you see where shots are coming from and anyone that's played an SPG enough time in a map will know where to watch for enemy artillery to hide (or TD's, if you get lucky enough). I've managed a few blind kills purely off watching the tracer trails, though it takes a few shots to kill sometimes.
