yep how to play as a teir 4 light tank in a tear 7 game.
find a bush, passive scout the enemy, and pray to god himself that no one either saw you go into your hiding spot or gets withing proximity detection range.

Alternate is to drive at full speed all over the place for as long as possible, or failing that, hide behind heavy tanks and keep enemy tanks out of sight spotted.

While the ELC AMX often can find useful employment by assuming the role of a tank destroyer. Dealing that finishing shot to a badly mauled tier VII heavy can be quite satisfying. Just circle the hurt beast while your team mates bombard the bastard from a distance. If it works, it's pretty awesome.

the ELC is the exception it is amazingly fast, and unlike every other tier 4 light actually has a base gun that can dent a teir 7, unlike the punny gun selection on the A-20

forgot that. still the teir 4 lights shoudn't be in teir 7 matches they don't have the speed, gun or armor for those matches and are nothing other then free xp for the other team.

It's all about the scouting, baby. A tactic that actually works every now and then is trying to keep out of harm's way for a while, followed by hunting down their artillery. That can be very satisfying. However, it does mean that you shouldn't storm directly towards all those pretty enemy heavy tanks as if they tin cans full of cookies. You will not get cookies.

In theory, yeah...
Problem is that there are plenty of fast mediums that can scout as well as a tier four scout. And packs enough of a punch to actually be a threat.
But yes, stay away from the big heavies. Hide, flank, shoot'n'scoot... Just don't try to go face-to-face with 'em...

And for god's sake, don't try and shoot a Stug from head-on in an M5 Stuart. I see too much of that shit on the Xbox, and it makes me sad.

Their armor is quite bouncy at tier V, too. Hell, I've even had quite a few shots from my AT-8 bounce off of them.
The moral of this story is that facing German tank destroyers from head-on is a Bad Idea™.

You think that is bad? I had shells from tier VII heavies bounce from some bloody AT 2 that just parked its fat ass within my tank's sight. Man, that frustrating.
