I imagine that the French tanks might well draw a few people back.

Some of them look impressive, others look downright weird. If you check the video in the link, one of them looks like a weird bubble-tank.

Had a look at the Frogs tree, seems almost....lacking.

Wished they did the British tree first, they already got some of the tanks needed ingame.

Tetrarch's fun though.

Had a lolzy game on Redshire just now, single-handedly assaulted the southern hill/camping spot in my M5 Stuart....good thing we actually had some arty for that game.

Got me a Char B1 and an AMX30, although I suspect the Char B1 will probably the first to go.

Those new Soviet gift tanks are threatening my Hotchkiss superiority!

No, I believe the Micro-Maus' reign is coming to an end.

Happily, I've got 24K xp and 720K credits saved up.

So I shall get myself a nice French tank.

yay french tanks.

As soon as those damn Frenchies get released, I'm going to have to quit arty grinding. Those damn AMX lights and 40t/ BatChats take the fun out of arty.

Russian lights already make life as arty difficult, the French aren't anything new so far. The heavies actually seem more popular at the moment, though they all look the same when you're dropping shells on their heads.

Every game I've fought recently, my team gets absolutely slaughtered. It's getting ridiculous.

It seems like the majority of players on WoT (or at least on my teams, via the random matches) have been lobotomised, so I've been on massive losing streak. It's fucking frustrating.

Here, here!

Unless I'm playing with friends, I can;t seem to get shit done.

Also, I have to point out that its hilarious watching the new French tanks fight one another, I watched several of them AMX40's, one of the heavies, all firing and bouncing off one another, no one could score a good hit. I never, in my life, thought i'd say this, but I was glad when a REAL tank...a KV, showed up :P

Also, anyone who has read the WorldWar series by Harry Turtledove might appreciate this picture.

That's pretty good.

Shame there aren't any Landcruisers.

After all, those Lizards are worse tankmen that the Ivans.

I hate stupd teammates. Last enemey tank, a KV at 2% health. Our last tank, a StuG III was at 37%. He had a perfect shot at the KV. Didn't shoot while the KV took 3 shots at him. Seems to always happen in my first game of thr day.

Ja, zhat zhey are.

I'm sad i couldn't get the ranks correct though. I'll work on that.

My friend and I used to joke about that, You have two Lizard landcruisers on a team, Vs. 15-28 WW2 tanks, no bigger than a KV-2, maybe as far as the Panther or IS-1, and see who would win :P

See, I dunno how good the Landcruisers are, considering one was knocked out by a Panzer III's 5cm gun to the belly-plate.

I don't imagine they're really up to scratch with a modern-day MBT. Added to that, the crews were shit and Tigers and Panthers seems to be able to take them on fairly easily - at least, the 8,8cm and the 7,5cm L70 could do a lot of damage to a Landcruiser. I suspect they're probably the equal to something like an IS-3 or an IS-4 when it comes to World of Tanks.

I imagine you might be right. Though, we all know the under armor in the tiniest :P I'm not sure what gun Jager's Panther was packing in the last couple books, I'd imagine it was the 88, and I remember them being able to penetrate with no problem from side and rear, and when the new APFSDS shells came up, even from the front.

Alright, screw it, idea stupid, move on! :P

Anyone tried many of the French tanks?

I don't get why the French H35 is worse than the German H35.

The German's upgunned them, is what I understand. Beyond that, it gets a slightly better engine (70 hp vs 82 hp) and a track upgrade. I'm going to get oen to completely collection

I have an AMX40 and, in its tier, the Space Duck is awesome. Only tank I've seen thats tier 4, with a tier 2 gun :P

Edit: Wiki says there's a version of the H35 with a 130 hp engine, too....that'd have been nice.

Checking out the names of the guns, at least, they're the same, albeit with somewhat different nomenclature (3,7cm vs 37mm).

Insofar as I was aware - I don't know much about French tanks in German service - they didn't upgun tanks. They certainly converted more than a few to carrying different weaponry as pseudo-StuGs (which will apparently be in the French TD line in WoT), armed with things like the PaK40, 10.5 cm leFH 18 or captured Soviet artillery pieces in an open-topped superstructure. I'd imagine that the small size of the tank, turret and turret ring was limiting with regards to up-gunning. At best, they might squeeze in the PaK36 or PaK38, but I don't think it has the latter and the former seems to not fit the name the German Hotchkiss' gun has.

But, I suspect, it's more about defining the premium tanks as better than a tank that doesn't have to be paid for.
