Yeeeaaaah maybe.

Course nowadays there's a lot of resentment towards them; so maybe in 20, 30 years, the populace will generally hate them and they'll become the most underrated band in history.

Well technically they're not the best band ever which is what a lot of people used to call them.

I have an unnatural obsession with movie themes. Whether it be the Prince of Egypt's Deliver Us or Mulan's I'll Make a Man Out of You, it's everywhere. Kind of weird. Fiddler on The Roof music is also equally awesome.

I also enjoy pop music. No matter what anyone else says, it's still music, and I like some of it. I hate Lady Gaga, but I sure do love her music.

You sound like me. My sister and her boyfriend and I were sitting and talking and they brought up the Bohemian Rhapsody, and I was like "WTF is that?" When I searched it, I found out I heard it before, just didnt know the name. lol.

Anyways, I actually like J Pop, K Pop, Canto Pop, and stuff. I adore those songs like Caramelldasen too. Yes, I am girly. Also, this is, by far, the worst thing. Ef your record gets distributed to record shops nationwide you can't really be considered 'underground' can you? Edit: I'm ashamed to say that I like King Crimson, although they did have the good sense to break up when prog reached its most tedious and Robert Fripp did hang out with Bowie.

I will admit, I made a mistake with De La Soul.

But the rest? Hell no.

If you're popular enough to be featured with The Gorillaz, you sure as hell aren't underground.

Aesop Rock is a pretty big artist and incredibly respected name in the Hip-Hop community. Immortal Technique is the first artist people always go to aside from The Roots when asked to provide examples of good Hip-Hop.

These artists might seem underground if you're in high school.

I wouldn't call them mainstream, but they aren't underground. I've found plenty of their work at chain and retail stores like Best Buy, Border's, etc.

Silly kids arguing about what constitutes "underground" music. Acoustic folk music from local bands is where it's at, yo. All the cool kids dig that now.

Implying you have to be popular to be featured with the Gorillaz.

Of course he is. I didn't say he wasn't. I think that in the hardcore hip-hop fan community, maybe he isn't underground, but then again, when talking to teenager, I really don't think that matters.

And that's because Immortal Technique is one of the best in the business. I have never seen an Immortal Technique or Aesop Rock album in any retail store. Ever. I'll keep naming underground artists if it pleases you though.
