As you can see, I'm mainly into pop genres like Synth, Power, Indie, and Pop Punk, along with a little folk. There are other bands I'm into, more than these last 3, but the first 7 I mentioned are the main ones that I like.

Also, a good friend of mine is in a rock/blues(?) band called Outside City Limits.

Lupe Fiasco and Bright Eyes are good.

If you like Owl City, check out The Postal Service, they're like Owl City but much, much, better.

BTW "Synth" and "Power" aren't genres.

I would absolutely love to learn to play bass guitar. I can sing a bit, but I've always wanted to play an instrument well.

EDIT: An instrument that's not a triangle by the way.

I've played the piano for 8 years, and I like listening to classical music.

I really want to learn how to play an instrument that I can carry around, though.

But Synthpop and Power Pop are genres, which is what I meant by "Synth" and "Power". Same goes for "Indie", as I meant Indie Pop. And I've heard The Postal Service. It was okay; it reminded me more of Vampire Weekend than Owl City, so, I didn't like it as much, not that Vampire Weekend is a bad band.

Also, I reread your thing about "Synth" and "Power" and it makes perfect sense.

The ocarina is easy as fuck if you figure out the notes and the fingering, though English pendants have fucked up fingering that I've yet to figure out after about three months. Transverse and Peruvian pendants are easy, though.

The problem is finding a use for the ocarina in music...

It's just too bad that homophobes connect gays with late 70's-early 80's Disco.

Check out the songs Fatback, Mike Theodore Orchestra, Sylvester and Blondie have made.

It's epic stuff.

Too many great artists overdosed and got AIDEs.

There's AIDS, and there's aides. There's no "AIDEs".

If we're talking kitschy genres, exotica must be brought up. It's a genre of 50s-60s lounge music, and it's great.
