Heh, yes, I have written a bunch of DP fanfiction, most noteworthy my Ultimate Enemy-centric trilogy-in-four-parts consisting of the stories Jeremiad, Anathema, Benediction, and Indemnification. For those who are curious, my FFN account with 'em is over here. I'm also in charge of one of the largest DP clubs on Deviantart and depending on who you ask in the fandom, I'm a fandom hippie/really cool person or the Destroyer of Worlds and the evil fandom antichrist who will spread the icky icky gay. (Despite the fact I personally don't like slash fanwork; I just don't condemn or harass people who do. Long, LONG story about fandom drama there.)

And not only does Reppy write allegedly good DP fanfic, she's also generally considered the best damn Ember cosplayer in the fandom. 2 hours just to do all the makeup-! Still, fun cosplay to do, especially if you get recognized and get a crowd chanting "EMBER! EMBER!"

Personally, Dark Danny aka Dan aka Dark Phantom aka evil future guy is my favorite character, and The Ultimate Enemy is my favorite episode; Steve Marmel's handiwork really shines through there and the episode is pretty dark for a kids show. He left Nickelodeon after the end of season two (I personally suspect he and Butch had some conflicts of artistic vision about the show; Marmel was apparently told he had 2 hours to gather his stuff and GTFO of the building) and the loss really shows in season 3's shoddy writing, characters acting out of character, and the craptacular ending. Seriously, watching Vlad's villain decay from a crafty and interesting antagonist to just another typical take-over-the-world caricature was very nearly painful. Not to mention season 3 shoving the Danny/Sam pairing down everyone's throats whereas in Steve's care it was more subtle and interesting.

Fun fact: Marmel finds the Danny/Valerie pairing much more interesting, and apparently there is a brick somewhere in Lambeau stadium that is inscribed with "Someday I will rule. - Vlad Plasmius" courtesy of him. (Take a guess where Vlad being a cheesehead comes from. )

I might check out some of the other stuff too. I'm not huge on DP, but boy I was, and you might just help me get back into it like I used to be.

Mhm, lots of love for Dan Phantom. I never actually knew about the whole deal with Marmel, since I didn't pay any attention to that stuff back then. I really didn't even take notice with the shift between seasons two and three. I mean by that time I was already drifting just because I was getting older and kind of starting to shy away from that stuff, substituting it with more mature stuff (by mature I mean stuff my friends were watching that involved a lot of unnecessary cussing and farting).

I did, however, notice the pair being shoved down my throat, and I have a pretty narrow esophagus.

Those are some very fun facts, I must say. I especially like the first one, as I always thought that Danny was going to end up with Valerie in the end. Never happened, ah well, Danny/Sam was inevitable, I guess.

I never saw the former coming either, but the latter made a bit more sense to me I think. I mean Skulker's in a robotic suit, Technus(sp?) fiddles around with that kind of stuff. It made sense.
