You don't watch a Michael Bay film for a Nolan level plot. You watch for the awesome action scenes.

Nolan can do good action scenes and all, but probably not the type of action that Transformers needs.

I mean, you can see from Inception and Dark Knight, that Nolan is quite creative when it comes to action. But Transformers doesn't call for that type of creative action. It needs creative, but loud and flashy action, which is not Nolan's area of expertise.

The Autobots would have suspected something was wrong if the plan they had based all their hopes and dreams on had gone down succesfully? How does that work?

Also in response to earlier messages, seems unlikely that the decepticons wouldnt have realised. The fact Sentinel Prime is able to communicate to every single decepitcon without the auto-bots picking it up at the same time actually within hte movie itself suggests that the decepitcon firing would have been aware of it, unless we suggest that the decepitcon was stupid for the sake of the plot.

Maybe the Decepticons that fired him didn't know and other Decepticons did? Transformers alright, Transformers 2 very good, Transformers 3= I can see why Michael Bay left Unicron out...because he would've ate the Michael Bay, the script and the entire film because of how shit it was.

WHAAAT?

Transformers 2 was a utter piece of dog-shit. I wouldn't subject Saddam Hussein to watching that bull.

It was blatantly racist and stereotypical, had awful action scenes, and had a storyline that I wouldn't dignify the computer data to being wasted on.

So I watched it today, and noticed something which kinda ruined the plot of the entire film.
The sentinal prime (or w.e. his name is) that is able to activate the space bridges was, as im sure youve realised, double crossing the Auto-bots. Part of this trick was to have Optimus Prime discover and then resurrect him because he had died thanks to Decepticon missiles.

But HANG on a second. If he was double crossing the auto-bots, and the decepticons knew this, why on earth would they have fired missiles at him in the first place?
Had they not, Sentinel Prime would have travelled to earth, (this being years in the past before the rest of the auto-bots got there, removing 100% of all effective opposition), got their slave force easily and not have had a single issue in rebuilding the transformer homeworld. Its not as if that was the harder option, its the equivelant of the American government stabbing the crew of the Manhattan project because they wanted them to make the nuclear bomb...

Did I miss something significant in the film? Or is this a case of a major plothole just for the sake of justifying random explosions.

Also I appologoise if this is slightly unreadable. I have had a wee bit to drink AND my keyboard is playing up -_-

There's also the plothole of why the hell didn't we just figgin' nuke the bastards, or wait, THEY'RE MACHINES.

EMP their ass Ocean's 11 style.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

I stopped caring when in Transformers 2.

You know when massive space robots decide to have a fight on the sight of Egypt's most important cultural and economic centres before the Revolution, the American and Jordanian Army turn up but the Egyptian Army and Air-Force don't even send a single F-16 to assist.

It could of been over quickly if the Egyptian's just sent a dozen Abram Tanks and F-16's to wipe them out

To transform Earths' machines and build a new army. Which was certainly not said in the first film. Absolutely not.

No, but the Decpticons not firing at all would have raised suspicions. Besides, I think only Megatron and Sentinel Prime knew about the plan.
