I think you're missing the point. The current iteration of the series is a modern and realistic one. No realistic plastic surgery would ever end up with anything that bad, and given Barnes' situation at the end of Punisher 1, there's no good reason he'd have any plastic surgery that would end up that bad.

And that right there is the other reason I hate those Netflix shows. I'm not watching something in the MCU for realism. I want that off the wall shit. Aliens, Hulks, people who like something chewed them up and spit them out.

That's why I love War Zone. That movie is bonkers. Frank literally punches a dudes face in. When any of those shows do something that cool, let me know.

Yup

Even the 2004 Punisher with Thomas Jane had some over the top theatrics. It wasn’t realistic but it was a thrill over stylicized ride

Thanos is not a magical threat, he's a cosmic one. That's the Guardian's job. The Sorcerer Supreme protects the world from magical threats. He handles Dormammu.
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

That makes sense.

You'd think the Sorcerer Supreme would keep an eye out for beings that want to use the Time Stone, that is hanging on your neck, to destroy the universe, but hey, he's not using magic so why care? :p

Well, it's not like he's getting the Cosmic News Network to keep abreast of what's going on Xandar. If they aren't using interdimensionality he might have just not have a way to know.

Or, they needed a tool for exposition so they had the dude who just encountered Thanos explain the looming threat to the people on Earth/the audience.

Existed as deliberate in-universe exposition even, given Heimdall doing that on purpose :p

Honestly, I don't think it's an error for him not knowing who Thanos is, I just found it strange.
Besides, I'm pretty sure Thanos kept his search for the Stones secret to almost everyone, as Ronin wasn't even told he had the Power Stone.

We might get the Spiderman trailer soon. Like, maybe a couple of hours.

I'd like it even more if they let it stick. Seems like the appeal of a film universe is that you can have real consequences, but they're throwing that away.

It's a movie universe based on comic books. No one stays dead in comic books...well, except Uncle Ben.

They said a long time ago that this one bunts up against the end of Endgame, so it's after the snap. Half the characters that got dusted had sequels announced already. We're not watching Endgame for if, we're watching for how. And who won't make it out, big bets going on Captain America and Iron Man as both stars contracts are already out. Caps was out last movie, actually, Endgame is an extension.

It use to be no one stays dead except Uncle Ben, Bucky Barnes, and Jason Todd. But Jason Todd came back and we know what happened with Bucky.
