Half-joking:https://youtu.be/vsIyphGp0Vc

Serious:
Well, Adventure Time is thought to have gone through seasonal rot. I'm unsure about the other shows. But at the time he made the video, AT was at its height. I don't get why he says the animation industry was still going downhill.

If Saberspark doesn't like Regular Show, Adventure time, Legend of Korra, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Scooby doo mystery incorporated or the avengers earth's mightiest heroes, that's fine, but the fact that these shows are so popular and well received makes claiming the animation industry is going downhill merely because you dislike all shows that aren't MLP:FiM really makes you seem biased.

I sure hope he likes SU, Star Wars Rebels or Gravity Falls, or some other modern cartoon.

Also Disney has Phineas and Ferb which had aired when Saber made the Video.

He did the video for a college course, right? If I was his professor, I'd give him a B or C for what he did. "Good work, but your misrepresentation of the furry subculture, and your bias against modern animation made your work flawed."

What do you consider good modern animated series that aren't mlp:FiM?

I've got a nagging feeling that today's episode will be a flop... but we'll see.

And now, the animal chatter version of Weathering Hooves... we interrupt this broadcast for special news bulletin: the butt's lightin' up.

Only Twilight could research that many books in five minutes.

"Hello, I'm Twilight Sparkle, and I'm here to solve your friendship problem!"

"Hi, I'm Fluttershy... and I'm here too." I love subtle puns like this.

Hooffields can't build... and the McColts are too loud.

Everyone believes that the two are spies... and are apparently cut off from the rest of Equestria like all stereotypical hillbillies.

Fun fact: the leader of the Hatfield clan converted to Christianity some time after the feud.. I wonder if that will be alluded to in some way...

Alright, as it turns out, the McColts can't farm. Sounds like all that's needed is a mutual benefit arrangement. Twilight, don't think that apologies will work. Please.

I kind of like this motif of Fluttershy keeping the animals safe.

Twilight's a full-fledged utilitarian. Where's Kant when you need him?

A Trojan carrot cake. You didn't think they were serious, did you?

Twilight, with your experience, I kind of would have thought that you would know that going by the book would not have always been the best solution.

The animals knew what was going on all this time. Here comes the deus ex lectura.

To be perfectly fair, building huts and growing food for all the animals seems kind of patronizing to the animals (the building even more so). They've lived there for how long before the two families came? At least you've got some environmental stewardship sentiments going on. It's a much more subtle "common ground" than the idol in The Lost Treasure of Griffinstone and the park in Made in Manehattan and in fact is stronger because it actually is a common feeling direct to the parties rather than just a symbol. I approve.

The implication that personal feuds have effects beyond that of the two involved seems to be quite in line with the previous themes of episodes like Lesson Zero (failure to act) and Amending Fences (innocent personal choices). Of course here the idea is much more obvious than the other two. It's still an appropriate development that tries to broaden the spectrum of one's awareness of one's actions.

Well, I was pleasantly entertained by this one. I kind of wish Twilight was a little smarter about the whole thing though.

Liked the episode, a good showing of the environmental degradation caused by conflict and how conflict can destroy what you were fighting for in the first place.

On a side note Twilight I'd advise you listen to Worf here. There is only so much one can plan for before you have to simply say "Never mind the maneuvers, just go straight at them."

Very good episode. Fluttershy was lovable and the comedy was good. Certainly did the plot than Avatar: The Last Airbender had which is a major plus. 8/10
