With my increasing playtime in Stellaris, I tentatively step into this thread. I’ve played a little bit of Victoria before, but I never got into it.

Dunno if this is still a possibility on PC, but at least on console it is apparently possible for the Prethoryn Scourge to steal your synthetic evolution ascendancy. If they seize your homeworld when the special project is being worked on, they’ll apparently be the ones affected and will turn into synths. The whole Scourge. You don’t.

Um... Hak Hak Hak?

I have learned my lesson about leaving defensive pacts on in CK2. I've never played a game long enough to see how absolutely horrific they can be after a few decades until now.

On second thoughts, this damn senate is annoying as hell. Fuckers just will not form a Galactic Council for me to dominate.

What's the oldest non-immortal character you guys have ever played in CKII?

Oldest for me is definitely my latest guy. Died of stress at 83. Persian Nestorian, custom ruler. Managed to go from the Count of Bamian to the Shahanshah of the Persian Empire before he kicked the bucket. Absolutely stellar.

Looks like liberty won't be dying with thunderous applause after all.

On the plus side I have the diplomatic weight to autocratically dictate the laws of my "democratic" federation. I've given myself 40 year terms with the next president chosen by thesis defence, when I have the largest tech advantage. Some more XP, maybe some extra envoys, and I'll proclaim myself Joshua Abraham Norton I Iffy I, by virtue of technological supremacy of the Stellar League Eternal President and Protector of Mexico.

After the End, I had a ruler who made it to 93.

Dude was the first Emperor of the Rockies, lost an eye fighting nuclear cultists in Arizona, a leg fighting Mormons in Utah, was riddled with cancer, and still held on long enough to be survived by his adult grandson.

CK2 Immortality help needed
So, from what I have read, a learning mystic with the stats in the above screenshot is decidedly fake, and taking up her offer on the eternal life thing will get you reincarnated. Then again what I read could be wrong, and reincarnation (something which I have never experienced) is something I am unfamiliar with. So, do I take the offer or no?

It's not yours until you pass the resolution to make yourself a permanent member and reduce the number of councilors to 1.

Yes, those are real resolutions. I've seen them. They're highly unpopular so it's probably not going to happen for me, but the option is there.

Stordan Þorgrave, Chief (later Jarl, later Petty King) of Scania. Dude only managed to get a claim on the Kingdom of Denmark which I used to duel-to-the-death the current owner at the age of 96. He died 2 years later as the first Þorgrave king of Denmark.

Hey, I somehow disabled certain sounds in CK2, namely the ambient battle sound that plays when you zoom in on a province hosting a battle, the sound for clicking options on pop-ups, and a few others. Any ideas on how to re-eanble them?

Have you looked at the audio settings in game?

Alright, I've just about had it with my Federation partner. I want this little shit to burn. Despite the fact that there are similar ethics throughout our side of the galaxy, my Fed partner has bad opinions of everybody around us, won't agree to ANYTHING, and I'm finally coming to understand why he's hated by just about everybody in the area. I saved this dumbass from annihilation in the early game, now he's repaying my by being the most stubborn jackass around.

In order to do anything about this, I have to wait AGES to level up the Federation to the point where I can kick him out. Because I will not be the one leaving the Federation that I FUCKING CREATED. I should've joined my neighbouring, wonderfully friendly Federation ages ago. I'm so upset at myself that I didn't take that opportunity . . .

Can you not abandon this federation and join the other one?

Yeah, but my federation would still exist. I built it, damn it. They would get to smugly keep the title and all of the effort in making the Federation successful.

Huskar, you don't get it, but I understand your ignorance. Simply tell me, does this look like the face of a civilization that's vengeful versus Fanatic Egalitarian, Pacifists?

Any possibility you could start a war that'd get them killed but that you'd survive?
