I've been meaning to check them out for a long time. What's their best album?

It's Mabool - The Story of the Three Sons of Seven if you want more death metal style vocals or The Never Ending Way of ORwarriOR if you want clean vocals.

Is this not the General Music Discussion? I mean, I think it's fair to ask what people's favorite rhythm is. If this is a music discussion, then can we not talk about music rhythms and theory and structure?

"what's your favourite rhythm" is a really vague question

do you mean in context of a song? chord progression? tempo? melody?

I couldn't care less of rhythms or theory or structures. If it sounds good it's good, period.

I just didn't know what you meant by that.

Anyway, I don't really pay attention to that kind of thing so I don't have a favorite.

Lol, that's like asking someone their favorite note.

It depends on the context of the genre, artists, song, etc. A certain rhythm can sound good in one song and bad in another. I doubt anyone here has a "favorite rhythm" in mind.

I don't have a single favorite. I write a lot of riffs and stuff that have 8th notes and/or patterns of 3 I guess.

I could mean stuff like that, but I would also ask that as a musician. Does anyone here play music? Or are all of you guys only avid listeners?

I play my guitar(s) obsessively almost everyday, but the lack of an able teacher has left me without much knowledge of theory or correct technique T_T

Such are the consequences of living in the middle of nowhere :meh:

I've been playing saxophone and taking private lessons for it for four or five years now, and I know A FEW things on piano and guitar. I'd have to say I'm pretty good at saxophone, but I don't like to brag.
