But their settlement and establishment of states didn't have the official backing of another country as a metropole (as that was the whole point of their migration west if I recall correctly). I'm not even sure why they exist in the start date of Vic III given neither of the two actually existed until 1852 though.

Does anyone happen to have favorite cultures to play as in CK3 because of their starting traditions? I just started a game as an Alan prince of Georgia and I really liked the Alan traditions, but it's such a small and technologically disdvantaged culture that I eventually gave up and switched to Georgian once I expanded.

I don’t speak a bastardized Dutch because it was a native language to Southern Africa.

They’re important and if they didn’t exist at game start you’d one have to make players wait 16 years to play them, horrible idea gameplay wise.

I guess my terminology isn't great in this case, colonial nations should really read as colonial subjects. And African native should really be "independent African state" to account for places like the Boers and Liberia, which is where I'd place the vote.

Please, that would never happen, it hasn’t happened before so why now, right? And it’s not like any games were bad at release were released by paradox, right? RIGHT?

decided to try TNO again after a very long time. last time i played it, it was pretty bad so i decided to try it out again

it was... alright

certainly nowhere close to TWR (which is better in nearly every single way) but i had fun. i played bukharina in komi and it was certainly fun --- way better than the wish-fulfillment that was sablin the last time i played him and the absolute comedic evil that was burgundy and its plans for world domination

the economics system is pretty cool and i like the gfx, it still runs like shit though

Did mongol successor states apply only for Tšingis (or his progeny at least) when he spawns and player with Greatest of Khans/Great Khan only get standard partition or did also player get it successors?
Because I remember one game trying Khan of Khans run and it was only normal partition, but I'm not sure if it's only because I forgot to turn off mongol invasion and Tšingis-kaani spawned and stole most of my stuff after he spawned. And I got them back w/cheating. So that might've broken the succession.

Other people may need to pick up the slack on HoI4 news, my mild interest of the game from a distance has clearly waned to the point that I'm not reliable on that front anymore. It's just not my game, I don't visit their Reddit much at all anymore.
