I don't see how considering we got:

A Vader vs Obi-Wan fight as well as getting to see flashbacks with Hayden in them.

I’ll be disappointed if that was the the only fight we get between Vader and Obi-Wan

That wasn't really a fight.

Seriously though it was fine. Entertaining enough if you don't think about it too hard. DIsney needs to stop pushing its people a bit too hard. Maybe give em a few more months or an extra year to work on their stuff before releasing stuff, starting to look like a content mill.

Agreed, more time between stuff would be good.

Really great finale for a great show! I loved every second of this show. It's great to see Ewan in action again and from the looks of it he enjoyed being back in Star Wars again.

Overall I give this show a 9/10, I would give it a 10/10 but episode 4 was really meh. So I unfortunately had to take a point off.

Thought the show overall was a tad bit bland, however, the finale made up for it well

Holy crap guys he said it!

I liked this episode, but once again, Vader didn’t actually kill the person he was trying to kill. Make sure next time, man. Owen and his sawed off, big scoped gun missed Reva from fifteen feet away with her back turned. I enjoyed the show for the most part, and it was a solid ending. Overall 7/10

Kenobi at its best is average. At its worst, it's riddled with the worst aspects of Disney Star Wars combined into one series. I am disappointed, although I fault myself for setting my expectations so high. There were some glimmers of quality, such as the interactions between Obi-Wan and Vader. I wish they had adapted John Miller's Kenobi novel instead of producing something subpar.

Admittedly, it was cute to see Obi-Wan and Leia become friends. A definite highlight in the story.

Obi-Wan was alright overall, but a lot of it was filler. It might have been better as just four episodes or something. Little girl Leia also feels like an unneeded continuation of that child/guardian thing they’ve been doing since Mandalorian, but I’ll admit they did a good job finding an actress that looks almost exactly like the original.

The finale was the best yet and the scenes with Vader were great. It was neat to hear Hayden’s voice alongside the suit’s voice.

Reva was pretty extraneous at that point, and did anyone not see her ending coming? If she’s really good she should buy a prosthetic hand for that poor lady from the beginning of the series.

I genuinely feel Reva should have died at the end of episode five at the hands of Vader or was killed this episode by Obi Wan. Her story in this last episode just... felt a bit off to me and it was weird that Obi Wan was not there to protect Luke, plus I'm quite tired of Dark Siders redeeming themselves and going back to the light, i think its really overdone but i could see it coming with Reva for a good while now.

The fight between Vader and Obi Wan imo was really fucking good and had some pretty good emotional moments like Vader saying he killed Anakin and not Obi Wan, that it was not his failing etc. And seeing Vader just get fucking rekt in the last part of that fight was intense and just soo different, he is getting thrown all over the place and is just completely out classed by Kenobi.

Leia is another stand out in this show for me, the actress playing her is great and i hope she has a good career going forward. I think her and Kenobi did quite well together. It definitely felt like the same character and i liked that he went off world to rescue her instead, i think it was a good move.

I think that and a lot of my issues in this show could have been resolved if they had a longer series. Say 10 episodes, and that would fix the pacing and give things more room to breath as it kind of felt like two shows clashing together at points, Reva's story vs Obi Wan's and i feel a longer run time would allow them to develop both a bit more and use some characters like the Grand Inquisitor who... didnt really serve a purpose in this show honestly, i dont know why he was here lol. I did like the actor playing him though, he was pretty good and oddly hilarious at times for me like when he was soo done with Vader wanting to go after Kenobi instead of killing the Rebels.

But overall i enjoyed this show, think it could have been much better but i dont think its as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, and i think it was a big step up from the Book of Boba Fett. I wouldnt mind a second season as long as they give it more episodes and allow stuff to move at a better pace. If they do do a second season though, i wouldnt want Vader in it as to me they ended that storyline in this show quite well and i think a second season should focus on another villain if they do one.

I will admit this was a better episode. As you mentioned the fight with Vader was good. Saw the old Obi-wan fight moves so he was on his way back. I guessed the big reveal. I was hoping more for Quinlin or Mace. Still….

Now the episode did have problems. Reva. Never liked the actress. For the simplist reason she was not a Star Wars fan and didn’t see the need to prepare for role. It showed. You look at Ewan and he studied like crazy. You can see Alec’s mannerisms. The way he said “hello there”

Reva lacked some details. How did she get to Tatooine after getting gut stuck? How did she get to Owans Farm which was out in the middle of nowhere? She was gut stuck and running after Luke? This kind of suggests she didn’t have a speeder bike. The bigger question? How did she survive the slaughter of the younglings?

It’s obvious; they are planning a series for the character. Will it be good? Probably not. Obi-Wan had many script problems and it showed. Obi-Wan could have been a decent show if the story was tighter….Had a better actress for Reva….

Anyway. It’s over.

Indeed. As with many movies. Good special effects. Story line? Not so good.

Main villain should definitely be Grand Inquisitor (The real one, not Reva)

From my understanding, she got stabbed and didn’t die, just like when Vader stabbed her the second time.

The first time does have it’s issues. How did she get away? When the temple was finally taken over. The rounded up all the bodies and burned them. It would be rather a grand feat for a child to escape and one with a major wound.

The second time? The routine seemed to be to make sure all force sensitives were dead. Even Vader with his “Don’t fail me again” reward.

Anyway. I got the feeling Reva is going to get her own series and it will “probably” be explained….

I mean, that's true. But my point is what did any of us really expect? The show takes place at the very center of the timeline. It's completely bookended on both sides with miles of established lore it can't override. What profound revelations were we gonna get? they had to introduce one off background characters because there's no tension with the mains. Can't kill them off, we've already seen them do plot essential stuff later on.

I mean:
Reva trying to kill Luke. Was anybody worried for 11 year old Luke "Sithbane" Skywalker? The "gasp he's actually not dead" scene where he's immobile but then breaths to show he's alive? was anyone actually like "oh no he's dead, OH SNAP NO HE AINT"

So instead they need one off mooks to inject some semblance of dramatic tension into plot. Oh and it's not like they can advance the plot of the franchise, that particular bit of time is completely filled in. We already know what happens.

So instead we got 6 episodes of filler that answered exactly 3 questions:

How Obi-wan got his groove back.

Why Leia is personally familiar with DV at the beginning of ANH.

Where Obi-Wan got his "DV killed your father"/ "A certain point of view." bit from.

The rest was just fanservice that was mildly entertaining and we got to see the band get back together again. Hell Hayden's final monolog was basically a "fuck you I can act" to his haters. (Seriously despite how lackluster the writing was, it was still better than all of the prequels for the sole reason that it gave the actors something they could actually work with.)

Anybody who was expecting ESB level production was seriously setting themselves up to be disappointed.

From the set of Obi-Wan Kenobi. I can’t verify it, but it might be real. I don’t recognize the background.

Cute, but the same tiresome problem that always comes up with the obsession with doing prequels: Tell me you ever watched any part of the OT and thought to yourself
Yes, clearly Leia was very familiar and friendly with Obi-Wan and they had all sorts of zany adventures together when she was a kid. I guess she just kind of forgot about that for 20 years or so until she decided to name her son after him
:p

The unavoidable problem with prequels is that you either have to heavily restrict yourself, or just shrug and say, "Fuck it, every one of these characters develops crippling Alzheimers in X years."
