Speaking of Rome, here's a really fun Byzantine Empire game I had in CK2. I started at the final bookmark as the Palaiologos when the empire holds barely any land and made it my goal to try and restore as much as I could. Naturally I also decided to make it a world where Pletho succeeds in catching the emperors ear and the government rejects Christianity and I ended up reforming Hellenism in the 1370's and that let me really begin expanding in every direction at almost breakneck speed.

I also managed to grab Alexanders bloodline in record time for myself, it took less than a century from my start.

i've always kinda wanted to get into the byzantine empire in ck2 tbh
it just seems way more complicated than other countries

One could even say that it's byzantine in its complexity.

Exactly. Most of the people I'm enslaving aren't gonna be very ethnically different from my population, so I hope it wouldn't be depicted like that.

One imagines they'll likely be using the CK3 3D stuff for them from what we've seen, so the slave poses and clothing will likely be applied as a pop modifier, while how a pop looks otherwise is from that pop's culture, so all cultures can be all pop types.

I am wondering how determining what groups are enslaved will be handled. Maybe I, a Belgian, want to enslave the Scots and make them.. I dunno, tend fields of sheep?
