The forums aren't real time chat, and can you even imagine how much effort it would require from the mods to keep, say, a single Maxchat thread clean of spam and stuff so he could find the questions? It's insane enough in the chat room as is!

Also, IRC is short for Internet Relay Chat. There's an assortment of programs you can download and use to connect to the chat. I personally use mIRC, but there's plenty of free programs and even websites that can get you onto the chat network for the chat. You may just need to poke around Google a bit :p

oh, so does this mean Max doesn't like using his own forum?
some spam is quite nice now and then, although i can see why someone so special doesn't want the lowly spamming plebs from talking to them.

Normally some silliness and spam is tolerable, but given how busy these chats can get, we have to cut down on it or it just doesn't work.

clearly he's a man on a mission, of course spam isn't really necessary for good conversation anyway. I mean do you ever say lol to someone when they tell a joke or do you laugh?

I get the urge to do it alot, Im laughing but in the back of my head Im thinking "lol"...Its weird...

Actually, I've heard some of the most recent versions actually do expire. I dunno though, I actually paid to register my copy forever ago when it cost like ten bucks :geek:

No worries on the 'expire' bit. You click on 'register', it takes you to the website, then you go back and click on the 'continue' when it highlights as being clickable. Still a problem? Click 'register' again or what have you, repeat.

Its annoying, but doable.

When I used mIRC you just had to wait ten seconds before the use without registering option became available.

I'm looking forward to this.

I think Maxtopia should be used more regularly though :D

As for the Max Chats, it sounds great! Although I don't have a ton of questions for him, it'd be nice to see what the big guy that let us have all this fun is like. It'll be like daddy coming home to see his precious little darlings holding nukes. :lol:
