NationStates Moderators (14 minutes ago)

Unfortunately it is impossible to tell who, exactly, is operating your computer at any given time. For this reason, it has long been game policy that multiple WA nations from the same computer are not permitted.

Please see the Ejected from the WA? Here's why document for the official ruling.

Nations found in violation of the rules cannot be reinstated to the WA, but you are permitted to create a new WA nation.

We know you've heard it before. It is the answer to your complaint.

this is the worst service I i have ever had. i am very disapointed with the staff and Nation States as a whole. I don't even think they bother reading my PM they just have a automated response i beleave. they DON'T GIVE A **** about me or any nation.

One can never be certain that what you say is true. The moderators, therefore, have to be necessarily cautious, and apply a standard rule, that rule being that if you are using the same computer as another WA nation, even if you do not control that said other WA nation, you may not control another WA nation of your own. It's perfectly reasonable. Further, it is perfectly foreseeable that the moderators haven't the time to respond to each message personally, and, as the standard-text message answers your question perfectly, they decided to answer your question in the best way possible.

Due to the fact that the Moderators, and Administrators cannot tell whether you're sharing the computer or not.

I only have one WA nation but my brother has one and he sometimes uses this computer.

Unfortunately that's asking for trouble. We try to identify WA cheats accurately, but we have no way of telling exactly whose fingers are touching the keyboard at any given time. So unfortunately if you don't want to run the risk of being ejected from the WA (or worse), you shouldn't let anyone else operate WA nations from your computer, either.

Sharing a network or IP address is usually fine. The game does not rely on any single method of identifying WA cheats, but combines data from four methods to calculate the likelihood that multiple WA nations are operated by the same person.

See what the others have said.

See what the One Stop Rules Ship has said about the matter.

You threw a fit back in June 2008. It didn't change anything. You just threw a fit now. Not going to change anything. You can avail yourself of the same remedy we suggest to everyone: make a new nation, put it in the WA, and DON'T use your WA nation from a shared computer.

And perhaps, as has been suggested multiple times, you should have MADE A NEW NATION, PUT IT IN THE WA, AND MADE SURE NOT TO SHARE COMPUTERS FROM THEN ON.

Do you have other NS accounts? Do other people that use your computer have an NS account? If so, are they part of the WA? Are you sure they use their own e-mail? Do you use anything like auto-log-in or "remember me"? Would you expect these other users to go onto your account while it was on one of these settings, see your e-mail address, and use it to put one of your other nations in the WA or create one of their own nations and put them in the WA so that they can have multiple nations in the WA?

But still, I wouldn't blame the mods. As far as I know, they are only doing what they know, whilst doing their own RL things and moderating multiple forum topics. I would guess the problem can maybe be solved using my questions above, along with your own knowledge and the mods' knowledge of the situation. And even if you don't find out why you can't log-in, just use a different e-mail. If that doesn't work, there is nothing wrong with getting a chance to start out again on a clean slate and face the joy of acheiving everything you have acheived again. You've already done it once, right?

You've probably either created multiple WA nations, got into the shared computer other people's WA nation's mess, or were banned previously from the WA. Anyway, you don't have to join the WA, as it is not compulsory. Some nations prefer not too. If you still wish to join it, follow Kat's advice.
