Request for Post Deletion

Postby Fluffywuffy » Tue May 19, 2009 6:57 pm

Despite having played, off and on, NationStates since December of 2002, I have, until now, escaped the need to request moderator assistance. In the thread The Alliance of Socialist Republics, Amn Voss posted a rather lengthy list of quotations by various authors purporting to refute socialism. That's all fine and dandy; he is entitled to his opinion, an opinion which I, oddly enough, agree with. There is a time and a place for all things, and I feel that a place for all of those quotations would either be an IC post or a post in the General section. I don't want my thread cluttered with a debate over socialism.

What do you say, moderators?
"Without calculation, economic activity is impossible. Since under Socialism economic calculation is impossible, under Socialism there can be no economic activity in our sense of the word ... All economic change, therefore, would involve operations the value of which could neither be predicted beforehand nor ascertained after they had taken place. Everything would be a leap in the dark. Socialism is the renunciation of rational economy." -- Ludwig von Mises, Socialism

It's not his opinion. It's cut and paste.
Post removed. Amn Voss may, of course, compose his own argument against socialism.

Meh, that's pretty mild if it even qualifies. I bet Fluffy can take it.
