I was unjustly given a warning for criticizing weeb culture in anime. Weebs in anime are specifically those fans who are the worst of the anime community known for things like racism, sexism, pedophilia and trying to erase trans representation in the medium, which was the topic of the conversation at hand.

They are the worst of the worst that the anime community has to offer and criticizing them for not having social skills is an apt observation. Furthermore the posts after mine are in agreement. If I'm wrong shouldn't they be getting warnings too?

Perhaps the mod in question was confused and thought I was talking about anime fans in general? I know people use the term "weeb" sarcastically from time to time to poke fun at the anime fans, but I was not in this instance.

Thats what weebs are, calling them socially inept is a fair observation regarding what they represent. Remove my warning and repremand the offending mod for jumping to conclusions without thinking about the context. Next you'll warn me for trolling for calling incels misogynists.

"Weeb" does not colloquially mean what you seem to think it means, and you're clearly using it pejoratively in an extremely inflammatory manner despite the fact that there is a common knowledge definition for "weeb" - namely that it is a reclaimed pejorative for all people who watch anime. I don't know what you think you're doing but yes, going out of your way to paint an entire group as socially inept is trolling. You might have been able to talk yourself down to an unofficial if you hadn't in the OP of this thread included your wildly inflammatory definition of what you've decided "weebs" are.

Based on your verbiage its my understanding that you're denying my appeal in bad faith. You're intentionally mixing up "Otakus" which are hardcore anime fans with "Weebs" which are SPECIFICALLY the unsavoury subculture of fans within the anime community known for such things as sexism, racism and pedophilia. How you can get the two mixed up is impossible.

I'd like to have another moderator to look into this. Either you're bad faith moderating or ignorant on the topic. Weebs arent otakus or general anime fans. Calling Weebs out on how they want to erase trans representation in anime is on brand for that subset of the community and my criticism of them in lacking in the necessary social skills to be acceptable members of society is valid.

If you have reason to believe that I have cause to act in bad faith toward you, or that I am in any way committing an act of abuse or misconduct, please file a GHR as soon as convenient to limit any potential further concern. All GHR activity is logged and tracked, and this can be more easily brought to the attention of senior game staff and administration. I will have no interaction with your GHR.

You may also file a GHR for a final appeal of your warning. Again, GHR activity is logged and tracked and neither I nor the mod included in the original decision will be included in any ruling there. I would caution that GHRs are generally considered more serious and not to be overused for issues that are not likewise serious concerns. If you believe your appeal of your warning merits such an escalation, then that is your next option.

If you choose to move forward with both, I would personally advise you to file two separate GHRs for clarity's sake. You are, however, free to do as you wish in this regard.

Saying Im generalizing anime fans for saying weebs are toxic and want to erase trans and black representation in anime is like saying im generalizing germans for saying nazis want to wipe out the jews. You're erroneously conflating one for the other and you and I both know moderation isn't going to treat me fairly if I try to report this even further because you've lacked the ability to do so thus far in this situation. Instead, do the right thing, treat me fairly and put aside pride and remove my warning instead of obtusely insisting Weebs and otakus/anime fans are the same thing when they're not.

Moderation has intentionally mixed up otakus and the general anime community with the toxic weeb subculture in justifying this warning and all involved should be reprimanded.
