Trolling in Canadian politics

Terminus Station wrote:I think its time we brought back asylums in Canada. Vancouver's DTES is a mess filled with the mentally ill and drug addicted. There's no way these people can help themselves at such an abhorrent state. Outside of euthanizing them I don't see any other way we can humanely tackle the homelessness in BC. What do you guys think? What exactly are our alternatives here? Let them wander the streets until they fall apart? There are also those who don't wish to get better, those types shouldnt go to jail but I dont think they should be part of the general public either, they're a health hazard. We really need to bring back the padded rooms and building-sized psych wards. At some point we have to accept these people are not going to get better and its better to have them in specialized facilities where they can be comfortable and away from the public like those fake towns for people with alzheimers.

Colored point for emphasis
advocate killing the homeless as an humane way
claim homeless are sub-humans

Advocating death on its own isn't actionable (though it can easily devolve into actionable behavior) - see this post that explains this a bit further.

On this own, I see this as a controversial hot take but not actionable.
