Fair enough. I was considering reviving the system in a new thread, but I could use a different name.

I'm not entirely certain that a merge is necessary.

Iceland isn't part of the European Union, and is geographically distinct from much of the rest of Europe; it's not as if Iceland is being swamped by refugees who've walked from Greece and crossing the border en masse somewhere near Fáskrúðsfjörður.

While related to the broader Syrian situation, I think this topic is sufficiently distinct from the 'migrant crisis' to warrant a separate thread.
