You see, the very purpose of the thread was for the well-established community of music fans on A&F to collectively build a definitive list of the subforum's favorite albums, in hopes that it could serve as something of a guide for new people coming in. Similar to "Essential x-core" lists made my other music communities like /mu, r/music, and others. Since this thread is so intrinsically tied to the A&F subofrum, it doesn't make much sense for it be in F7. Most of the A&F music community rarely goes on F7.

If a mod has decided my thread will not be moved back to A&F, can I get a quick clarification of why?

I haven't had a chance to discuss this with Blaat, who initiated the initial move on the apparent understanding that the thread was a forum game.
While I'm cautious about doing this without direct reference to Blaat, I'll move it back given the explanation in your first post above; this appears to indicate that the thread can be appropriately kept in A&F.
