The thread doesn't seem to be locked right now; if you're concerned that posting in it would constitute a gravedig, and would lead to a lock, then yes, you could start a new one. While I see no real problem in you reviving the original since you're the OP, it might be better to start a new one to avoid an accidental lock.

Perhaps quietly do all the cutting and pasting you need from the original right now - as the old thread hasn't been locked, this should be easy - start up a new one, and then quietly ask for a lock on the original once the new thread is up and running.

I was actually asking for that thread to be locked (my apologies for not exactly being as clear as I should have been on that point) because I'm planning a rebranding effort and want to do a sort of relaunch of the region, including a completely new regional thread. Since I'm not very familiar with the Gameplay forum, I wasn't sure whether it was possible to do this and figured it was best to ask for clarification on whether this was possible, since I couldn't find it in the Gameplay stickies.
