Is it permissible to use the Arabic word Yahudi?

On the one hand it is used like a slur

On the other hand even Biblical Hebrew uses the term Yehudi to refer to a person from Judea and the English word “Jew” is sometimes itself used as a slur.

Sounds like a similar case with "goy" or "kafir", so I'll point you to Arch's post on the subject from a couple years ago. In short, we don't ban words, we ban trolling, flaming, etc. Given that this is a predominantly English-speaking forum however, I would personally advise against using non-English terms that are often considered slurs in current colloquial language, as this one strikes me as another one where you would need to be very clear that you're using it in a classic Biblical sense and not the colloquial one and it would be very, very easy to accidentally slip up and get smacked for trolling. If you need to discuss Jewish people/people from Judea, etc, there are perfectly good words for it that don't carry the linguistic baggage.

I don't know what it means in English, but in Turkish it is said for a person who is Jewish. It doesn't mean anything bad or racist.
