[Q] Regarding the Nation Name Filter

Why is the n word permitted by the nation creator? Seems like the first thing to prohibit, if you ask me.

Thankfully, the moderators just took care of them. People unfortunately find "clever" ways around word filters.

On the filter itself, it's more of a technical issue rather than for moderation.

This will always be the case. And we can't make it too stringent, if we don't want to run into other problems (like Scunthorpe for example).

I've always wondered why the N word itself is banned, but not "nigga" - which, as far as I'm concerned, is about equally hard to use in a nation name without being offensive. I've seen countless nations with "nigga" in the name get nuked for obvious reasons - and while this form of the word does have some reclaimed use, it's still very much associated with the N word from which it's derived and I can't think of any legitimate names that would happen to contain this string like we do with Yamashita, Scunthorpe, etc.

With that being said, there are always indeed going to be people who try sneaking past the filter, adding hyphens or underscores, or using numbers in place of letters, or substituting Q's for G's or whatever it may be, so there's no way for the filter to be perfect at blocking any possible offensive name.
