What good does any community or thread do for the people who aren't involved with that community or thread? If you're a roleplayer and suddenly the mods decided to delete tbh, you'd probably be saying much the same thing as you're saying about this case.

If it's automatically detected and deleted, then every single nation and region with "nazi" in it will be deleted. I have a puppet nation based on Inter Milan (called Internazionale) and in that case, my Inter puppet nation will get deleted. But it doesn't work like that, since the mods have stated in their opening post:

Existing nations and regions with names containing "nazi" will be removed by moderators unless those names are, by themselves, clearly not an attempt to evoke Nazi Germany.

I'm proud of the mods actively trying to make the overall game less toxic, and it very much seems that a large number of people agree on this too. It's the smart and correct decision.

There's a difference between "deleting things because people are offended" and "deleting things because they represent an ideology that did the Holocaust", I'm sure even you will agree GVH that there are perhaps, just some, minor differences there

Political debate is great until we get to one predicated on what people have the right to be people. Thriving communities are great until you get to one that's built around the idea of oppressing demographics. Hatred is a learned ideology, and NationStates need not be a part of the recruitment apparatus of one that is inherently harmful to others.
