That terminology is also incredibly insulting to the huge number of people who have been victims of domestic violence, including sexual violence, during the disastrous lockdowns implemented in the US and other countries.
And unless your friend and his family are all 80-100 year olds with advanced dementia and COPD or a host of other life-threatening comorbidities there is no "serious danger" to them.
