I just have one question, do DEAT users get to create new nations under the basis that they don't break the rules of the forums?, basically like a reformed user creating a new nation after their previous one got DEATed.

A nation that's DEATED is just deleted; they can come back with another nation if they just follow the rules. DOS means that they're basically IP banned, and all the nations they make are banned when they're found.

DEAT can retry and are just banned on that nation. DOS stands for 'Delete on sight', so they, well, can't join on any new nations.

I have another question: Are the punishments for breaking the rules harsher on retries of DEATs?

I'd assume so, but you'd have to ask a mod.

This is the Moderation sub-forum afterall.

Think about it. If you rack up a record long enough to lose a nation, do you think we forget about that? It isn't that the punishments are harsher but they come faster. Just follow the rules. It's as simple as that.

I don't think the Mods are under any illusions that the user behind a nation that has just been DEAT'ed will have mended their ways that quickly, as the person in question will likely have a warn and ban list as long as my arm before it gets to the DEAT stage. But as others have said, it's DOS that means that someone is persona non grata.

Ok thank you, Farn.
