Question about IC Election threads

I've seen Election threads in both the "Factbooks and National Information" and the "NationStates" subforums. My question is if there is a specific subforum where they would be best suited for posting in?

Usually, it's in the NationStates subforum, to my knowledge.

on my main account, I posted it in Factbooks and national information and it worked out just fine, but ive also seen ones in Nationstates. So I think both work to my knowledge.

It depends on how the role play is handled. If you are actually going to let other players actively RP characters while your election is on going then it needs to be posted in “Nationstates”. If there’s no character RP and it’s just a series of players stating that their nation supports X party and such then it goes in “Factbooks and National Information”

This is basically correct.

FNI contains information you're just posting, where you may invite some minor commentary but ultimately the only real content is that which you the OP are posting. If you are RPing with another person, then please keep that in one of the RP boards. From a "Nationstates" and "International Incidents" perspective, is doesn't particularly matter which one you choose; they're reasonably interchangeable, and just have somewhat different subcultures.
