Happy New Year Mod Squad!

Postby The Black Forrest » Fri Jan 01, 2021 1:23 am

Yes I am that old and if you recognize the reference, you are as well!

Hopefully next year will ease up on you guys as the level of crazy should start to decrease in February.

Thanks for putting up with us and our moments of insanity.

What does it say that I remembered Linc, Julie, and Pete without having to look them up?

I concur. Daylight Savings Time has more of an effect on me that New Years does. I just have to remember to change the number at the end of the date.

Eat, sleep, hunt, grow things, travel (really long walks), make things ... did I mention eating? Honestly, you aren't aware of time when you have only general ways of measuring it. (I'm reminded of L. Sprague de Camp's Lest Darkness Fall, where Martin Padway, an American archaeologist transported back in time to 535 AD, is explaining his watch to someone. The other person says, "But ... why would you want have an hour divided into 60 parts?") I only know how old I am because the Family got together in 1759 and went through memories and documents and came up with numbers. It was a fun six months.

May you not have to deal with so many trolls in this new year.

I laid waste to the steppes, and left pyramids of the bones of my enemies in my wake.

It passed the time.
