This ban is patently absurd and I’m appealing to have it retroactively overturned.

First of all, I did not “imply” that the coronavirus was manufactured in a Chinese lab and exported around the world on purpose. CCP virus is a nickname I use because the CCP covered up the real extent of the initial outbreak in Wuhan and failed to prevent its worldwide spread. The CCP is primarily to blame for this. If you people had bothered to read my earlier posts across the forum, you would’ve realized this before jumping the gun. This idea that referring to the CCP virus as the CCP virus means I’m spreading some sort of conspiracy theory is simply absurd and smacks of U.S.-centric political bias and perhaps even political correctness. Why should I have to clarify exactly what I mean by the term CCP virus every single time I utter the word? NSG even has an entire thread dedicated solely to discussing the name of the virus/disease.

Secondly, I never said illegal immigration spread the virus around the world, let alone the United States in particular. In fact, I did not single out the United States or any country at all in that sentence. I was thinking mainly about countries like my home country of Malaysia as well as Vietnam and I was speaking in general terms. I did not elaborate further because the pandemic is not the thread topic. The U.S. Election is.

Sabah shares its land border with Malaysia's Sarawak state and Indonesia's North Kalimantan province, and also shares a long sea border with the southern Philippines.

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on Saturday said the surge in Sabah was caused by the number of illegal migrants entering the state unauthorised.

Most of those found positive with Covid-19 were from the detention centres for illegal migrants and prison staff.

Covid-19: 58 new cases, Sabah records double digits

COVID-19 | There have been 58 new cases of Covid-19 in the country, of which 53 were local infections.

Of those local infections, 48 cases were in Sabah, including 44 from the Benteng LD cluster and three from the new Laut cluster.

One other case was detected from pre-surgery screening in Kota Kinabalu.

There were also five new cases from the Sungai cluster in Kedah.

In a statement today, Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the Benteng LD cluster now had 381 positive cases.

Of this, 361 are inmates, two are prison staff, three are their relatives and 15 are close contacts.

Another 1,830 people in Tawau and 714 in Lahad Datu are awaiting their test results.

Meanwhile, the Laut cluster is an outbreak among undocumented migrants in Kunak, Sabah.

The cluster case was a Filipino who was deported on Aug 27. However, he slipped back in illegally on Sept 5 to visit his wife.

The wife later tested positive on Aug 8 after being screened during a hospital transfer from Kunak to Tawau, due to postpartum haemorrhage.

Contact tracing uncovered two more infections, that is the couple's child and one neighbour. A total of 49 Filipino nationals have been tested with 31 awaiting results.

As for the Sungai cluster in Kedah, it now has 56 cases in total, with 6,014 people in the state still awaiting their test results.

Nationwide, there were eight recoveries today, with the total number of active cases at 551.

Nine patients are in critical care, with five requiring ventilators.

The Benteng LD cluster was first announced by the Health Ministry on Sept 1, where seven cases were found positive for Covid-19 following a screening for inmates conducted at Lahad Datu police headquarters.

Six undocumented migrants - four from the Philippines and two Indonesia - and one Malaysian were among the first seven cases, and all were admitted to the Lahad Datu Hospital.

As you can see, the huge outbreak that began in the Malaysian state of Sabah back in September originated among undocumented migrants. What I said wasn’t misinformation. It’s the truth and it’s backed up by sources from reputable news outlets that the average Malaysian or Singaporean peruses on a casual basis.

COVID-19 | A surge in Covid-19 cases in Sabah has put a massive strain on public hospitals, with many struggling to find beds for critical patients, and health workers to look after them.

According to well-placed sources in the state's public health system, patients not infected with Covid-19 are also affected by the rise in cases, which reportedly cost lives.

One source claimed that at a public hospital in one Sabah red zone, at least five patients who did not have Covid-19 died recently, partly due to lack of hospital beds.

"These are deaths that don't make it into the news... deaths that are not captured in the data which occurred due to Covid-19 becoming rampant," the medical frontliner said.

Like all civil servants, Health Ministry staff are barred from speaking to the media without authorisation, and sources could only speak to Malaysiakini on condition of anonymity.

Non-Covid-19 patients are being transferred from Covid-19 designated hospitals to other public hospitals, filling up both regular and intensive care wards and delaying other treatments.

Another medical frontliner said at the hospital he works at, regular wards are also filling up creating a congestion in the system.

This means patients can't be transferred to regular wards from the intensive care unit (ICU) once they improve, to make way for more critical patients, the frontliner said.

The ICU in the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Kota Kinabalu is among those crippled, after more than half of its nurses were placed under quarantine following one testing positive for Covid-19.

Health Minister Dr Adham Baba has said that more health workers are being mobilised to shore up the strained workforce.

The source said that regular wards are also being converted into ICUs with ventilators to cope with the rise in critical patients.

The Tawau Hospital, which has been taking in Covid-19 patients from Semporna and Lahad Datu, is also reportedly stretched extremely thin.

A source said instead of there being one nurse to one critical patient as is the usual practice, nurses there now reportedly have to look after six patients.

The situation is such in Tawau that the armed forces are setting up a field hospital for non-Covid-19 cases.

Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the field hospital will have 100 beds, various wards, eight medical officers, and 54 officers of various ranks including a commander, five medical experts, three medical officers, and other staff.

He said the air force will also have daily flights to Sabah to help the Health Ministry with logistics such as shuttling medical workers, and bringing swab test samples from Sabah to labs in the peninsula.

"The problem is manpower. The patients here are very sick so we can't care for them without enough competent manpower," a source said.

Over in Beluran, the local public hospital is building makeshift isolation rooms in anticipation of having to treat Covid-19 patients.

NGO Beluran Hope founder Lina Ramsah, who is assisting in the construction of the isolation rooms, said that Covid-19 patients in the district had previously been sent to the Sandakan Hospital.

"But now, the Sandakan Hospital is also overcrowded, that they need to set up a hall for isolation.

"So our (local) Health Ministry staff need to be ready in case the Sandakan Hospital can't accept (Covid-19) patients from other places like Beluran," she told Malaysiakini.

However, efforts to build the isolation rooms have been made difficult by the district lockdown.

Lina said that there are not many shops where they can get materials in Beluran. The nearest city, Sandakan - has been placed under lockdown.

A good samaritan has contributed digital thermometers with stands and portable blood pressure machines for the isolation rooms.

Health Ministry seeks volunteers

Responding in his daily press briefing this evening, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the ministry has mobilised staff for Tawau, Lahad Datu, Semporna and Kota Kinabalu to assist with Covid-19 cases there.

Since Oct 8, a total of 475 healthcare workers and public health officials have been sent to those districts.

"A review of human resources will be done on an ongoing basis to help curb the spread of Covid-19 infection in Sabah and public healthcare in general," he said while expressing gratitude to the frontliners on the ground.

He also urged for more volunteers to come forward to assist the ministry in this third wave of infections, by emailing the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) at mobilisasi19@gmail.com and cprc@moh.gov.my.

Meanwhile, Noor Hisham said the Tawau field hospital run by the armed forces would provide obstetrics and gynaecology services, paediatrics and general surgery for non-Covid patients.

This is to allow the Tawau Hospital to care for patients who need intensive care, including those referred from nearby Semporna.

Covid-19 patients who are asymptomatic or with light symptoms will be placed in the quarantine and low-risk treatment centre (PKRC).

"The ministry is still discussing whether to place this field hospital at the Tawau Sports Complex. Based on early discussions we believe this field hospital can provide 100 beds.

"More information will be provided when it is finalised," he said.

Sabah recorded 255 new cases today, making up 74 percent of all cases in Malaysia.

KUCHING, Oct 16 — A multi-agency Covid-19 special operation has arrested 25 undocumented migrant workers at a construction site at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) vicinity.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said in a statement late last night that the operation was carried out after two undocumented migrant workers were tested Covid-positive two days ago.

It said 150 personnel from SDMC, State Health Department, police, immigration and Construction Industry Development Board were involved in the operation which started about 3pm yesterday.

“All the workers were swabbed for Covid-19 and quarantined,” SDMC said.

SDMC said swift action had to be taken to investigate and check the premises to contain the spread of the virus.

It warned parties that break the law and the standard operating procedures will be investigated and action to be taken against them.

Separately, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian believed that the undocumented Indonesian workers were smuggled into the state by “irresponsible locals”.

“It is time to not just to arrest the foreigners but our own blacksheep Sarawakians, government officers and employers’ accomplices who have given honest Sarawakians a bad name,” he said on his Facebook.

He said these locals have put the lives of others at risk of getting infected with Covid-19 because of their irresponsible selfish action.

He said he wants all the costs of enforcement operations and medical expenses on the undocumented workers be charged to the employers rather than borne by the public.

He said the immediate actions now to curb the smuggling of Indonesian workers are to intensify border patrols and mount more roadblocks.

He said special operation will be carried at construction sites to look for undocumented migrant workers.

“We need every Sarawakian to be our eyes and ears, apart from the federal and Sarawak government agencies, on all these challenges so that we can truly protect Sarawak from the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.

As you can see from all of the examples I gave, illegal immigration has been causally linked to new outbreaks of coronavirus in at least two Asian countries including my own. These are countries that actually take the pandemic very seriously, and if you actually lived in Malaysia or Vietnam, you would know exactly what I mean. This is a proven and verifiable fact backed up by legitimate news reports by Malaysiakini, The Straits Times, The Star, The Malay Mail, and Wikipedia. Chinese illegal migrants in Vietnam and Indonesian and Filipino illegal migrants in Malaysia are indeed to blame for outbreaks in these countries. In some cases, human smugglers were also involved as the sources clearly show.

I wasn’t referring specifically to the United States. If the United States managed to bring its own outbreak fully under control domestically only for a handful of migrants crossing over discreetly from Mexico or Canada via illegal channels and starting new clusters here and there, I would still be right and you can guarantee that I would once again have the sources to prove it. This has clearly been the case in Malaysia and Vietnam. The sentence I’ve been arbitrarily and unexpectedly smacked for is certainly not one that can be definitively ruled out at least on a worldwide basis, let alone decisively disproved. Nothing about the sentence is factually incorrect.

But that doesn’t matter to certain, bad faith actors who have gone on record to advocate that I get banned from the site for airing opinions that they personally dislike while pretending I’m the authoritarian fascist. Theirs is clearly a breathtakingly ignorant reading of my post at best and a deeply and intentionally malicious misreading at worst. Thank you for responding to my final appeal and reducing my penalty to a warning for "trolling", although I still fail to see what part of my post constituted trolling exactly. I was advocating a legal, albeit rather hardline, method of dealing with illegal immigrants, not calling for their deaths. Is it trolling to merely express support for Donald Trump's hardline border and immigration policy (or Israel's, for that matter) and hold that up as a reason to vote for Trump? I wasn't even trying to be offensive. I was trying to get out the vote for Trump. Some leftists who happen to find my views deeply offensive merely chose to interpret my post in the most uncharitable light and take offense to it. Why should I be held responsible for something I can't control? Is posting cartoons of Mohammed in a thread about Charlie Hebdo and freedom of expression trolling now?

Note that this is not an appeal given that I've exhausted all my appeals, but I still find it unjust regardless and I'd like to know how I was trolling anyone in the first place. What part of my post is trolling?
