Cameroi/Nolo gap (same person) has made it his pet issue that there should be no age of consent laws and brings this and other related topics up frequently in unrelated threads. The most recent incident of this was in the Somerville polyamory thread, where he brought up age of consent laws with absolutely no prompting in a seeming attempt to derail the thread:

never the place of government OR religion to define a marry age. only the signatories to it by mutual agreement.
i do feel though, that if there is going to be more then one member of one gender, this should be balanced by more then one member of another.
not that they should have to be equal in number, just that this should never be one gender sided.

This appears to be a long-standing pattern of behavior. From all the way back in 2013... in a thread about whether there should be restrictions on what you can name your children!

make puberty equal "age of majority" and i would agree with you. or not so much puberty, as graduation from lower school.

age aparthied does not protect children. it harms them. and not only themselves as individuals, but the kind of societies they grow up to create and maintain.

Cameroi is also quite fond of discussing whether adolescents are children or not, particularly in a sexual context.

I would note that Cameroi also has a disturbing habit of ICly creating complex lore surrounding age of consent which discusses the sex lives of underaged people. This might be considered tolerable if weird except for Cameroi's OOC pattern of behavior discussed above.

There is of course also the infamous evidence-lockered post where Cameroi states "all the good stuff is illegal" with reference to porn; I'm not linking that because it's impossible to now.

I realize that many of these have been reported before and ruled not actionable, and that they are mostly fairly old, but I think Cameroi's recent attempt to threadjack the polyamory thread with a discussion of age of consent laws shows that he's not over this pattern of behavior, and so I'd consider these old examples pertinent evidence.

i'd like to direct your attention to the paragraph right at the bottom of the post - not hard to miss!

The majority of the reported posts were looked into back when they were first reported in 2013. We feel the recently announced Moratorium addresses concerns about the more recent ones.
