The original incarnation of this thread was shut down when a mod determined there was really no reason it should separate from the Islamic Discussion Thread. The OP clearly did not get this and has decided to start it up again. He seems to believe that it was only because the thread "derailed" into a discussion about Islam proper that it was shut down, but considering a thread based on "Misconceptions" about Islam is inherently a discussion about Islam it seems to me that keeping it separate from the IDT makes zero sense and that the mod who merged the two was right to do so regardless.
Mind the original it wasn't locked or shut down, it was merged with the IDT specifically because there was no reason to have a separate thread about it. I'm not sure if that is actionable or not.
