So, it is okay to throw slur words at anime fans?

Also, some of the anime fans I know that consider the w-slur offensive are black, too. And I myself am mixed race and I take just as much offense to racial slurs as do to the w-slur.

What makes me mad is you saying it is okay to use some slurs when you know some people find them hurtful.

If you are really so incensed when you hear the word 'weeaboo', go to some bubble where it isn't permitted. Don't force your ridiculous demands on whole online communities, especially ones which are political.

Many people, clearly the majority if this thread is anything to go by, are also angered by the prospect that the use of the word 'weeaboo' in a negative tone might be forbidden.

If you hear the word 'weeaboo', you will not shrivel up and die.

Perhaps if it makes you so mad, you really are a weeaboo.

He called him a word that he knows he finds offensive.

It's hard not to question your motivations here, Aikoriland, when you're using a puppet for this report and pretending it's not yours.

Apparently you have never heard of roomates. Still a rules violation.

I'm disinclined to believe your explanation. Also "I'm offended" ≠ "it's offensive".

Given there's an ongoing discussion on usage of the word, including amongst the moderator team, I'm not going to rule on this at present. As a final note, there's no need to report posts in the Moderation forum.

The term has already been established as an offensive term and as my room mate pointed out, I was called it in full knowledge that it is a warnable offense.
