1. The storefront will be presented in a professional manner.
This can be taken several different ways. Either that the product will be presented in a manner established by the GE&T community to be acceptable for a storefront. Or, that It should be well formatted and well written. Whether the author chooses to write it as a near-literal "Weed-Mart" style, brazenly displaying their wares to the buyer, or as a more furtive, secretive establishment, is not our decision to make, but the writer's. As always, storefronts deemed to be spam, such as those not meeting the general standard set forth by the GE&T community, may be subject to lock. Note that this is not due to the specific product, but due to the presentation. Storefronts are, for all intents and purposes, RPs, and as such, while we do not generally enforce quality, a bare minimum of effort must be made to define it as not spam.
2. The presentation of narcotics will not exceed the PG-13 rule established by the site rules.
The same standards have been applied to the various slave market threads and appear to work well enough that they can be applied here. Some specific examples of what a narcotics storefront should not do are as follows.
- Provide an in-depth description of the narcotic's production, preparation, and/or use, especially when focusing on real-life narcotics. Completely fictitious narcotics may receive less stringent restrictions, so long as the descriptions are not paralleling a known narcotic. When dealing with real-life narcotics, any explanation on how to obtain, prepare or use the narcotic should be avoided. Attempting to circumvent this by substituting fake names for real life drugs is also unacceptable. If you want to refer to marijuana as "wackybacky", fine. If you do so and then explain how to make a "wackbacky" cigarette, you'll be in violation.
- Under no circumstances will images of people preparing, producing, procuring, or using narcotics be posted. A picture of a field of cocoa plants, fine. A picture of a group of people freebasing? No.
- If the store front appears to serve no other purpose than to see how "edgy" one can be in their product sales, it may be deemed spam and locked. There is a proper way to present this material, as there is a proper way to present any product in GE&T. Those who abuse this for the purpose of attempting to show how "badass" their storefront can be may find themselves without one.
As always, this list is non-exhaustive and the staff right to judge reports on a case by case basis is reserved. Owners of locked storefronts may appeal through the proper channels.
In short, we believe that you can handle the presentation of mature material in a ... mature manner; please do so. Should the presence of narcotics-based storefronts, or storefronts containing narcotic products, become a hassle, this ruling may be revisited, and the privilege revoked. Threads and thread types of a troublesome nature have, in the past, been banned when users showed they could not handle them in a responsible manner. While I, personally, do not foresee this occurring, you have been warned.
